An album that lives up to its name (given the slight omission of the blues guitar and heavy bass used on earlier albums), yet still keeping their psychedelic touch as on the title track (the beginning of it especially) and fast-paced 'Do it'. This is perhaps the beginning of their movement into a more straightforward rock genre.

The most underrated Doors album.

Huh the Doors are allowed on MS but Queen isn't? :
There's plenty of contradictions and strange lines drawn in the sand. Another strange one to me is Soundgarden and Alice in Chains are here but not Nirvana. There's plenty of other examples.

Queen had lots of heavy stuff though especially on their first few albums.
they were here at some point, invisible profile, or whatever it's called, I totally agree to what you say here.

That's not strange. Soundgarden and Alice in Chains are very clearly alternative metal acts that were simply placed in the "grunge" moniker, while Nirvana had absolutely no metallic elements in their music whatsoever.
As for The Doors...I honestly don't think they're progressive rock, but I'm certainly not opposed to seeing them on Metal Storm.

You're entitled to your view there but I disagree with you entirely.

Well, what evidence do you have for your opinion?

I wouldn't go as far as to say 'whatsoever', but the metallic elements are minimal in Nirvana, they clearly draw from punk whereas AiC and SOundgarden clearly draw from metal and to be more precise from Black Sabbath. Nirvana has no place here, imo, whereas Soundgarden and AiC clearly do.

What about Queen Marcel?
Not metal. Even at their heaviest no metal in there. Just a harder type of rock. And great at what they did of course. But also a lots of pure pop songs and albums.

Did the Doors ever do any metal - I've only heard Best Offs and seen that movie starring Val Kilmer.
never a single note of metal or even hard rock.

So is it a case of "off with their Metal Storm head?"
why there's an invisible profile of their's here on MS is because a template is automatically created when a reivew is posted by a staff member. And somehow (don't ask me why) a staff member wrote a review on one of their albums back in the day.
