How about they record a new album instead of releasing old stuff in 250 copies?

Aftermath re-releases it, not the band There is no effort whatsoever involved in this on the band's part.
And btw shame Aftermath rereleases it, because their vinyl releases are never anything special.

QUoting myself for truth.
Just got my copy of ANgels Of Distress today, and unfortunately it is a typical Aftermath vinyl release. Not even a gatefold cover. Just a normal single cover and single LP (which isn't too smart since the album clocks in at 55 minutes)

What's a gatefold cover? It is the sleeve that is inside the cover with the artwork?
Also, why is it better to have doble vinyl in this case? Honest questions since I'm obviously a vinyl n00b.

A gatefold cover is a cover you can open up. Just like the cover of a book. Like what is mostly used with double albums.

Because when you have a lot of music on one side the groove is closer to itself and due to wear, which of course will always happen with a diamond needle, after a lot of spins you will get interference from the groove lying next to the one the needle is in. It just wears quicker.
