Swedish power metallers Sabaton have confirmed on their official website that they will be touring with Iron Maiden this summer and accompany them on some shows in Sweden and Russia. The band's latest release, Carolus Rex, came out in May 2012.

The following statement was released: "We are happy to announce that we will be doing some shows with Iron Maiden this summer. First out is the show at Malmö Stadium in Sweden and then to be followed by 2 shows in Russia: St. Petersburg and Moscow."

In other news, Sabaton will do a short performance at the Bandit Rock Awards 2012 in Stockholm where the band is nominated in three categories: Best Group / Artist (Sweden), Best Album (Sweden) and Best Live Act (Sweden).
