Now that Accept have climbed back to the top of their game and swept up the spotlight with a pair of excellent albums, their challenge lies in maintaining their grasp on success. Despite song titles like "Dying Breed," "Fall Of The Empire," and "Final Journey," Blind Rage does not spell the end to Accept's second wind; it is the next chapter.

Wow! You guys are just letting those 10's go. I have heard a couple tracks from the album, and it's been amazing. I don't know if it's 10 material yet, but I'll listen to the entire album, and I think I'll enjoy the hell out of it.

- Another favourless release under a big name tag.
- I bought this album only to show my support for one of my favorite bands.
- If you expect anything like Metal Heart...No way, this is not what you want.
- I would say Nuclear Blast has really contributed few tons of tasteless releases in metal scene.
- Ok, I am not trying to be mean, "Blood of the nations" is one of a very very few Rare good titles among NB's whole catalogue.

I havent heard it yet (however, I will later today), but I'm sure no one will expect another Metal Heart out of this, it would be the same as expecting another Painkiller from Priest or another Horrorscope from Overkill. I think fans know that these guys already made their peak back in the days.

I'm glad it's not another Metal Heart; that album was straight-up boring save the title track which had a decent solo at least. This album is way better. Just like I'm glad Overkill aren't releasing another Horrorscope, I'd much rather have them release another Ironbound or Electric Age.

I don't know how was the sales of Ironbound and Electric Age...
but I knew that 2 batch of Metal Heart (remastered) 2014 had fully sold out in 4 months since it was released in Feb-March 2014, now the music label is manufacturing the 3rd pressing. Sales speak !
You think so many listeners like to buy boring stuff ? May be I am also one of the boring listeners...

It's just a matter of personal opinion. Chill.

Gave this a spin yesterday and I've got some mixed reactions. Dark Side of my Heart and From the Ashes We Rise stand out as my personal favs, other songs have some nice riffs inbetween them but then you reach moments like Dying Breed, Fall of the Empire or 200 Years that just sound unfinished. Overall, it's not something that impresses me and feels like another easily forgetable album, unlike Reedemer from JP (It's fair to compare both since they share the same genre and are both by legendary bands that have nothing left to prove at this point of their respective carreers).

It doesnt feel necessarily bad but I dont find it good enough to say it's Average so it falls in a very strange place between them with a 5.5 (rounded up to 6).

I will give it another spin later.

Quite true. It's what I thought of this album but too lazy to write down.
I rated 6 too in the beginning but after a few thoughts i decided to rate it a 4 simply because if a band keep on producing something 80% familiar to their previous work then I don't think I can keep on giving one another a 6 anymore.

It's definitely softer than the previous two releases, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I'm never expecting from a band to repeat themselves, and I'm never expecting a new album with the "hopefully it will be like..." thought. After two really solid albums I find this one a great continuation, a little bit of cooling down. My only problem is that the title of the album "Blind Rage" is not reflecting the atmosphere musically. - 200 years - is actually one of the highlights of the album for me, great song and awesome lyrics. Giving this album a 4 is way too harsh. Wanna Be Free will be a great live hymn, just like From The Ashes We Rise, while Bloodbath Mastermind is a really cool bang your head type of song. There won't be another Metal Heart, just like how there won't be another Blood Of The Nations either, which is perfectly fine. I love this album as much as I like the two previous ones, nothing wrong with slowing down sometimes.

Good one. Somehow Accept knows way to write better songs as UDO, even Udo has some unique voice, but musically Accept is stronger
Last 3 albums is powerful, even more as 80's but we all know 80's is some kind nostalgia , grass was greener, times were better, metal was heavier, not was not , not all what came out in 80's means good, I think this is powerful album , new vocalist is great, music Wolf writes is good, great chemistry between vocals and music and new guy in some way can be like Udo, even Udo cant be replicable because his vocals

This one follows the exact formula as the two previous one. The production is nearly identical and the song writing does somehow now feel repetitive. Everything on here has been done better before, and to be honest the album is pretty boring. Not bad though. There are some riffs and lead guitars here and there that are nice and Dying Breed is a good track but overall it's a disappointment.

And now something that really grinds my gear. I own the limited edition with the extra live dvd and wtf why is Herman Franks guitar buried so low in the mix?! and there's not many camera angels on him either. I read an interview with Herman Frank saying he offered them a lot of songs which they wasn't interested in because they wanted to keep the songwriting to Hoffman/ Baltes/ Tornillo (listen to Herman Franks solo albums and you understand the madness in this). I'm glad he chose to leave, such an excellent songwriter and guitarist should not have to put up with shit like that. The whole dvd also seem to be suffering of the same problem as most live dvds today, it's too glossy and stiff. Give me some live and raw stuff!

Luckily I got this CD+DVD version for only 5? which keeps me from going on a blind rage...

Sounds like classic Accept material to me. 3rd strong album a row, this is better than in their 80s days. Although it has many strong songs the album has same problem as the previous two had, that is too many songs; heavy metal don't need 60 min albums, especially when a band is writing such short songs like Accept does.

Its accept new accept trademark and well I disagree maybe it sound heavyer, but cant compare those 2 periods. Old accept every song has own structure, riffs melodies, here all album is a bit same, its metal, boat are metal, but totally different.

I wouldn't say the classic period and the new Accept are totally different, but our perception of the classic Accept sound must differ. It's like Bon AC/DC and Brian AC/DC where I see both as classic AC/DC even if the sound changed after Highway to Hell. Hence I don't see the comparison invalid. I do agree that Accept has had more differing songwriting on some of their past albums than on Blind Rage, but as long as Wolf is on the board, I don't think they will lose the "classic" songwriting again (like they did in the late 80s and during the 90s.)
