This album is the salvation for Symphony X music! After the ugly eponymous album Symphony X, the guys from New Jersey created a good album that would define their musical style for many years. From the first song to the last, The Damnation Game sounds really interesting. I miss those days when Symphony X actually had beautiful melodies and a lot of emotions in the songwriting. "The Edge of Forever" and "A Winter's Dream" are two of their best tracks and the rest is also fine stuff.

Underrated masterpiece. All the songs are a hit on this album. Only downside is a weaker production compared to the following albums. But songwriting is flawless

Better as debut , but still not as we know this band now, better production, song writing and Russell Allen as singer, but we all know in future he sings better.
