Wretch - To Release Debut Album, Streaming New Song
In 2013 American doomsters The Gates Of Slumber split up, when bassist Jason McCash died, and mainman Karl Simon decided to shut that chapter in the book of doom. But now Karl is back with his new doom metal project, called Wretch (officially formed in 2015). The band now presents their debut album - Wretch - to be out on August 26th through Bad Omen Records. You can also listen to the brand new song, "Rest In Peace", available for streaming down below.
Karl comments: "Making this record has been the hardest thing I've ever done. Jason and I met just out of school and instantly became best friends. All of my memories as an adult feature him. All of the songs on this record are about him, about me, about our drug use and his death. I'm not close to getting over the grief. In a lot of ways I've lost my mind. I hope that people are touched by the record - I am often on the verge of tears while playing...It's tough reliving those moments."
