Blood Red Throne - New Album Recordings Over
Norwegian death metallers Blood Red Throne have issued the following update:
"We finished recording the new album after some weeks of what we like to refer to as 'the BRT curse.' We are very happy with the material and can't wait to get it back from Valle Adzic, who will be mixing the album in the coming weeks. Valle also mixed the 'Altered Genesis' album [2005].'
Blood Red Throne's fourth studio album was recorded at Jailhouse Studios in Horsens, Denmark. The upcoming CD will be the group's first to feature new members Anders Haave (drums) and Vald (vocals). Songtitles set to appear on the album include "Rebirth in Blood", "Come Death", "No New Beginning" and "Slaying the Lamb".
"This time, we aim for a more classic death metal sound, ala Gorguts 'Considered Dead' / Suffocation's 'Despise the Sun' kind of sound," the band previously said. "We have grown tired with the over-produced and fully triggered drum kits that so many bands use today, besides we have taken a slightly new direction with our music and the analog and dynamic sound fits the music better. We have also chosen a different approach to the recording process of the instruments."
