Thank fuck Von Meilenwald has finally started getting some solid artwork in to back up the awesome music. The covers for the first three albums were pretty atrocious, but this and the one for Blood Vaults are pretty sick

After the EP, I'm unsure if I could say he starts getting better with artworks. Excited to see a more psychedelic Ruins of Beverast though. Hopefully all that touring with Verdunkeln pays off.

His last couple of artworks doesn't fit the music at all. It looks very cheesy...

True. The covers are just getting worse and worse tbh. I find it weird some people say the contrary.

Rain Upon The Impure has a great cover, very appropriate for the music.

This however, looks quite cartoonish. I welcome the tribal/ritual vibe if he goes all psychedelic. Would be interesting music-wise.

The first two album artworks were totally well suited to the bleak, gloomy vibe of the music, sure, but they were still pretty terrible quality. Foulest, I fucking love that album and it's one of the most solid cuts of black doom ever, but goddamn the artwork is shit and it's not much of a reflection of the music either. Blood Vaults is a concept album, the depraved looking blue skinned dude in the church is perfect for the theme and overall more "Medieval" feel of the music. This cover could be dropping a bunch of hints... more psychedelic? More folk oriented? Drone influence? Whatever it is, I welcome it because it looks fucking cool. And y'all need Jesus if you think otherwise

That it does.

Looking cool? Nope, it doesn't. I suspect this is one of those cases where the musician themselves take care of the artwork like that latest Midnight Odyssey, at any rate it has't actually turned out great.

I think the cover of the first album would be better if it didn't have Samara in it. I'm fine with this one though.
