You can plea all you want and talk about serious issues like dwindling sales and how downloads are taking over physical product sales but you can't insult fans like that.

Maybe there's a reason people aren't buying their stuff, maybe they suck now. From my experience, metal fans are actually the ones who buy more stuff, CDs and merch and try to support bands, even crowdfunding tours and whatnot. Just look at Wintersun's crowfunding campaign last year.

What an idiot. Even I had all Crematory CD's and was a diehard fan (I'm not, because I dislike the band), I'd NOT buy this one just to spite him after what he said.

EDIT: Apparently, they gave an apt name to their album, because after this display of duochebaggery they deserve nothing less than oblivion.

This is complete bullshit! I don't recall ever skipping a show because I would be lazy. If I don't find the band good enough to go see live I don't go! As for CD and Vinyl sales, I really would like to buy a physical product. But, I want to touch it before I buy it. That is not possible anymore since there are no record stores. So I will use Spotify when possible, if not I will use Youtube, but most importantly I will go to the shows and I will by shirts and even CD:s there if the music is good enough. This band can go fuck themselves for all I care, never even listened to them but I'm still pissed off by this ignorance!

I heard the single Greed when it was released in 2004, the first and only time a Crematory single came by me.
So who's to blame? I didn't hear about this tour, I live in Canada, yet I get news on tours world wide. It would have popped up even on my radar if they hired the right promotion company.

This makes me hope that Oblivion is their last and they break up.

Smart move, antagonizing the only people on Earth who even remotely care about your band and have the power to take away what little financial base you do possess. These are the words of a band that looked at Wintersun and thought it was now acceptable to bully the fans and hold their music for ransom until a pile of money fell out of the sky.

Very tasteless way of convincing fans to support the band. Crematory has been on a downward spiral for more than a decade already and this is the real reason that explains the decline in sales and in fans willing to pay the price of a ticket to see them. The band continued to insult their fans in the comment section of their Facebook posts. I do not know who is behind the Facebook page, if the band administers it directly or not, and I do not know if the words spouted by the drummer are shared by all members, but in cases such as this you need to come up with an apology at least to save face. This is not the 80s or 90s when you could go around insulting fans and get away with it as it was hard to become viral, it is the age of the internet. Such words can ruin your career.

Crematory should think about why sales and supporting is dropping. It is not due to laziness, but their comfort in releasing safe commercial pop metal. Yes, pop metal, this is what you can hear on their last few albums. Calling it proper metal is a travesty. The days of quality gothic metal died 20 years ago.

His point about digital formats sounding like shit is more or less correct. However, his band's music sounds like shit regardless the format and this is why no one buys any physical copy. Addressing to your fans using this type of derogatory comments will send you right where you deserve to be (see album title).

The good thing about streaming platforms is that you can actually listen before you buy. The bad thing is that if your music sucks people will not buy.

their 90s albums are fine, other than that I would not dare recommend anything.
I listened to some later day songs, quite bland and the vocals sound annoying to me.
What a lame thing to do, the whole threat thing. No Crematory, the apocalypse will come...

I get what they are saying........ But fuck that and fuck them. Time to move on assholes.

This is because there are thousands of better albums out there, sorry!
