According to Therion's website the concert is set to take place on August 30. And also Metal Isreal is speaking of August 30 (but their info is also based on megatherion.com).

I think he was talking about the start of school..

Anyway, the first day of school doesn't matter anyway.

Does anyone know where the hell I can find info on how much the tickets are and the time? All the sites mention nothing about that...

I heard that Mayhem will be in this concert too , it will be like a festival .

Yeah I was expecting something of that sort to happen...I mean no updates on any sites ( that I know of in Israel ) about Mayhem coming here. But then again, same thing with therion, the ad for the concert as I remember was posted a few months ago...and it still hasnt been updated yet. So imo, I really dont think this thing is going to happen...its all too fishy.

Well, Distortion festival is getting some advertisement, so it definitely is going to happen. (a few weeks ago in Metalist, you could find their advertisements everywhere).
The question that remains is whether Therion (since Mayhem are indeed out of the picture) are indeed coming or whether it will be a local scene festival.
Since Mayhem only canceled the show TODAY, along with the cancel of the entire US tour - I believe they WERE indeed planning on coming.
which leads me to believe I will be seeing Therion live on the August the 30th.

anyway, even if not, there is always Nightwish! anyway i get my dose of symphonic metal (even if therion are a few levels ahead of nightwish)

Yeah, true I remember the ads.. But I did go the therion webpage...and the status is confirmed Im just nervous because Therion looks so f***ing amazing live and no ticket info!

Yes except Hellhammer's arm is broken as you might know, they cancelled their tour of america set for july, so I doubt his arm will heal that quickly.

I received the official Seasons Of Mist newsletter yesterday evening. And this is what I found in the "Upcoming Live Dates" section. Here are Mayhem live dates:

This is NOT Distortion Fest. It's belong to someone else who decided to make a fest on Distortion's fest day.

Distortion Fest will not happen in August, but Mayhem will come instead at the end of September.
