Across their first two records, as well as their side-project The Nest, Wolvennest have tended towards very long, very entrancing albums. With their surprise new album The Dark Path To The Light, the Belgians buck this trend on at least one front, but can their signature ritualistic psychedelia work just as well in more compact form? This is such an interesting album, one of the most pleasant surprises for me this year for sure. It's got such a creepy, haunting atmosphere which is an unparallel match to anything else I've heard this year, but I suppose the Krautrock influences add so much value to that. I agree the title track is excellent, but "The Timeless All And Nothing" is also a magnificent track imo.

Came out as surprise, good song writing metal meats different music genres and done artistically well.
