Even with a new singer at the helm, Sinistro prove that doom metal can be seductive.

A stunning, seductive record that highlights the band's ability to weave between sorrow, enchantment, and beauty. This is the 4th album from these Portuguese doomsters and it's very easy to see why this album is getting a lot of love in some circles. There's something about this album's production that will captivate you while also letting you hear every section of the band, from the haunting female vocals to the reverb drenched tremolos that build into a climax in the background. Stack on fantastic song writing and great playing - yeah, we've got ourselves one of the best doom/post-metal albums of this year. I'm eager to check out this band's back catalog, but if you're like me and never heard them before, this is a wonderful place to start.

I find it fascinating that music alone can convey those emotions, because I'm assuming you don't understand Portuguese (my apologies if I'm wrong). The lyrics are absolutely stunning and the music matches them perfectly, I feel this album is also a work poetry. Also, I've seen them live with this new vocalist and she owns the stage, breathtaking performance!
