I think someone brought this up somewhere a while ago, but there's 2 profiles for Tomni Lillman. (http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/bandmember.php?member_id=383 and http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/bandmember.php?member_id=31187). The 2nd one is just for Lordi, the 1st is for everything else. Can they get merged please?

Ok, so it's getting pretty tiresome having to repeat that this thread is for FEATURED BANDS ONLY!!! so maybe Baz needs to edit The Original Post...unless I'm just making it out to be a bigger deal than it really is...

We should create a thread like this specifically for UNfeatured bands, that's probably why people post here, simply becaus ethere isn't another place to post.

No need for a thread, users should be submitting these edits themselves rather than taking the lazy way out. Half the crap people are posting in this thread is something that any user with enough Comm points (like me) can do, the stuff that should be posted in this thread should be stuff that ONLY Staff can do; like Deletes and Active Style changes. The problem is that there is not a description of that info in The Original Post so yes, as you stated, they are posting here cuz they have no clue about how to submit stuff properly. And the original FB Mistakes thread was deleted so even if people wanted to they couldn't defer to it...

I understand, I suppose most of the edits are for genres, as you need 2500 band edit points.

Helstar - To Sleep, Per chance to Scream
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVgZUYeayoQ

Same video what we have here in MS
if we read an description from guy who criate video at youtube

Classic Helstar from the 1989 "Nosferatu" album. I put this up with a clip from the album's namesake, it's a great song that's nowhere to be found on Youtube. The guitar parts are insane but don't get in the way of the song, unlike many shredders...enjoy

ao if he made video how it can be offical promo video there no logic

Band: Oak Pantheon
Style(s) listed: Atmospheric Black Metal, Folk Metal

We (Oak Pantheon) are ok with the "folk metal" tag that's listed, but "Atmospheric BM" doesn't accurately reflect the direction of the band. If this could be amended to something along the lines of "Post-Metal" or "Atmospheric Metal" that would be great.

Proof below:

One of our regular users actually added the genres listed, although by my ears the track you posted is very much a melodic black metal track with a subtle post-metal influence.

Of course the genre can be changed accordingly although as a non-featured band any of our users with the right amount of community points will be able to edit it again.

Fair enough. I guess I'm not really one to properly categorize our music. Ultimately our listeners will do that once the album drops. I just don't want to give lurkers and newcomers the wrong impression that we're a "black metal" band, since it's not a style we stick with too closely (though black is still an influence). If we had it our way we'd probably just have "Metal" up there, haha.

I have a feeling a great deal of bands feel the same way, and although I agree with you that black metal isn't the primary genre in the band's sound, there are definite traces of black metal.

I'm sure once the album's officially released and you get some reviews more people will have a proper understanding of the genre.

Sorry about that, I just used the Bandcamp Genres, I guess I could have done a better job :C

Is it okay if I fix it to the listed?

Dying Fetus was formed in 1994 but several members joined in 91? one of them is wrong, will check now, unless someone knows off the top of their head.

The profile's invisible so I don't really care about the genre being changed, since almost anyone can do it. Someone will probably change it down the road after you anyway.

According to the rest of the Internet, that should read "1991".

Slash's new album was out today. Could the release date get changed? Listening to it know. Thanks.

There should be a source. I can't find such one. Some stores might cheat the bands and labels and sell the product in advance.

What would count as a source?

Jugulator and Demolition are definitely groove-laden heavy metal albums. The mid-tempo pace and heaviness took Priest away from the more typical straightforward heavy metal style of their back catalog and pushed them into a slower and more stripped down version of thrash. More groove metal than pure thrash, so I'll look into changing it accordingly.

Hard rock? Definitely not. Will change to reflect mixes of early grind and mid-era punk.

True and thanks...it is a hard era of priest to classify considering that they throw in different genres/elements and still retain old ones as well
