yes, Rubin is a great producer, I know, but still the band did whatever they wanted, I don't even know if they listened to Rubin - otherwise why are the drums so up front and the bass is too low in the mix. I maight be mistaken, the album is not so greatly produced. IMO of course.

No, not only in your opinion but also in the opinion of top producers, and engineers and mizers around the world. And also in the opinion of a lot of listeners. Not only does it suffer from what you mentioned but the general recording is also way too loud hence distorting a lot and killing all the dynamics.

the bass volume is a little high in this album I think, IMO they should volmue down the Bass. One of my reasons that I think its a medicore album + Jaymz'z voice is worse as St.Anger. Riffs r Copy of their old works almost. and I cant see anything new in solo's.
the song "Suicide and Redemption" is the worst Instrumental song by them. Unforgiven III is the worst Unforgiven. Piano and Violin Sux in Thrash metal. "The End Of The Line" deserves to be at St.Anger, although this album is not much more better than it! and a lot of other bad and hateful things about this album which I cant number

I was Psycotic and blind about DM, and now Im not. blieve me that u have made me feel sick about DM.
and about my old reacts im sorry! but I dont think that my reacts was cause of opposite opinions, in those times! i thought that someone always wants to speak about metallica negatively and fairless. its why I was angry. now I know that I was wrong. I dont like to argue and make a lot of enemies cause of a band!

both of them are gods, but i think maiden have been more consistant over the years throughout thier discography so i voted for maiden:maniac:

Well both latest albums sucked IMO (A Matter of life and death) and.. (Death magnetic) but yeah.. lol

Sure not every album they released was amazing, but none of them completely sucked imo. That and they do an amazing live performance.

I can´t watch a Metal video of many bands without a fag commenting that Metallica is better than that band.

...Wow...lots of hate...but i sadly agree somewhat..at first the album was insane..now its good..but just kinda meh soundin...dissapointing after a while..but id never compare any of it to St. Anger....

Such a useless poll, of course Maiden will win.

Iron Maiden are easily more influential than Metallica. Metallica had what, 3 or 4 good albums? Iron maiden had about 7 in a row! And you struggle to find a metal band who wasn't influenced by Iron Maiden. Nor will you find a metalhead who will talk shit about Maiden. But Metallica... people talk shit about them all the time. And they can't really win when they've got arguably the most hated metal album of all time (do I even need to say what it is?).

Now, about their new releases... I haven't heard much of Death Magnetic but from what I have heard, it's nothing new. I wouldn't go as far to call Maiden's '06 release a prog album, but it defiantly has progressive elements to it. And it is a far more interesting record than what I've heard of Death Magnetic.

Iron Maiden are the classic metal band, you can't vote Metallica over them, especially when it's in terms of influence.

P.S. Metallica 'amazed the whole world' by changing their thrash sound to one riff per song, single-based album sound? Hmmmmmm

Im gonan go with Maiden, just because i fell there releases have been more consistent. They both got great albums, they both have put out some sub par releases, but Maiden has always managed to keep me entertained through almost every release, the same can't be said for metallica, though DM is much betetr then alot of their recent work heh.

Iron Maiden is #1 for me. I like Metallica a bit, but maiden takes the cake for sure.

They are tough to compare side by side. But, I like Iron Maiden better.
And it sucks that Bruce is gone now.
