I'm surprised I'm not on there for my ability to fantasize about being a fast drummer.

I think it doesn't matter who is the fastest, because there is a limit that the human body can't cross, and many people reached that far. The actual drummer hero for me who can keep that speed for the longest time.

Mike Mangini is the fastest I think, he holds a few world speed records. Fast =/ good though.

I finally listened to 1349, and I cannot believe how Frost can play that fast for that long. He must be on long-acting amphetamines.

The drumming is consistent, too -- I can't hear a single flaw in the drumming on the Demonoir album.

Another drummer I have a lot of respect for is George Kollias, with his single-footed blasting. Lastly, I would include Pete Sandoval. So fast so early. Wow.

Also, kudos to the drummer of Deathspell Omega -- not only for the drumming, but for the anonymity. What the fuck.

Marco Minnemann is pretty fast. Not sure if he's the fastest but the guy he sure can play really fast and still have a great ammount of technical hability, which makes him, in my honest opinion, one of the current best drummers in the world nowadays.

Proscriptor from Absu is pretty stupendously fast. Probably one of the few times I've actually been blown away purely on a drummer's speed.

Brian Lehfeldt of Wehrmacht and Cryptic Slaughter, Scott Peterson of Cryptic Slaughter and DD Crazy of Sarcofago come to mind.

Thats such a hard question to answer. There is so many drummers.
