It sucked because it was the same over the top american shite comedy that's been done a billion times with a predicable story line......it's easy BE

loosely based on a true story about a bunch of guys wh escaped from a soviet gulag and walked 4,000 miles in ww2.
A bit slow at times, but it had to be to capture the feel of the long journey. I could really feel the agony of these people, the freezing, the heat, the hunger and thirst. Enjoyed it

BTW last week there my co worker did watch on UPC Steven segal and Chuck Norris film, I didn't watch :p
I did read driving theory and also Ernest H book - Old Man ..... , since music is forbident and my mothers BF old lap top what turns on like after 20 mikes, I hardly use even its illegal, but at night not so many cares since 2 works, sometimes I look at MS; but not much , not gonna violate work rules, same time point is I didn't watch movies those SS and CN films what he did .

i just done a holiday down south in sub zero temperatures and still went surfing....there's always better stuff to do than watch bad movies...you could watch decent ones, get a full time job, a girlfriend, travel

It actually isn't that bad, you're right. Quite watchable if you don't expect too much of it. I also rewatched the series through fairly recently (also minus the AvPs because fuck those) and I came to the realisation I prefer the Assembly Cut version of Alien 3 to Aliens. But yeah, that's pretty off topic.

I got a huge box from my best friend which contains all the 4 movies in expanded editions (not THAT long, but a couple of extra scenes). With tones of bonus tracks I haven't bothered yet, mostly docummentary stuff...

It's basically a very extended, altered version of Alien 3. Significantly changes and alters a lot the plot points and adds about 30 minutes of expansion and character development on top of it. I can't really go into it without giving spoilers away but it's just flat out better in every single way.

Dunno if that box set would have included the Assembly Cut version, but if the dog was in it then it wasn't the one you watched (the dog was cut out completely in the Assembly Cut). I'd recommend giving it a go, especially if you just saw the original as you'll be aware of the main differences (which are many, some big, some minor). Aside from the rubbish Alien SFX I prefer it over Aliens. Then again I always liked Alien 3. If Alien was the horror, and Aliens the action film, then Alien 3 was the drama.

But at least you have your (practically) adopted daughter and friend with you. Oh wait, They're dead. Great! But at least there's no Aliens around. Oh. Balls. Yeah they probably kept them separate. I doubt they could splice in parts of the Assembly Cut as it would cause conflicts with the theatrical version.

I'm actually re-downloading the Assembly Cut now as the talk about it made me want to watch it again. I suspect the download will be complete before I could get to yours, so will probably take the dryer option this time =P
