Wow. That is all.

Edit: On second thoughts, I'm just going to point out that this style would sit well with fans of Opeth, Wintersun, and Xanthochroid - and any folk connoisseur for that matter.

Also, not sure if any other Insomnium fan noticed, but the starting tune on the title track on this album is identical to "The Gale" by aforementioned band. Not a complaint by any means

Damn this is a great discovery, a lil bit Opeth, a lil bit Wintersun, and probably a lil bit Moonsorrow. I can't imagine how I missed their first album.

Falling in love with this one. It's full but never bloated in production, rich with catchy melodies and has a great atmosphere to boot.

Their best album IMO (although not by much over Veil of Imagination).

8.9/10 for me - 'And So Opens The Earth (Ash Memory Part I)' is the standout song. 'Bite The Wound (Ash Memory Part III)', 'The Faintest Echo (Ash Memory Part IV)' and 'The Garden Of Fire' are all also good.

How did it take me so long to see the brilliance of this masterpiece? Every song is phenomenal, I can't believe I didn't like this until a few listens in! This album is just set out so perfectly, with intro and outro tracks, the quadruple-movement epic, a chaotic song, a ballad, and an epic and diverse closer.

Yeah I can safely say this is in my top 10 albums of all time, only a smidge off getting a full 10/10 rating.
