The abominable thrash metal like shouted vocals make it almost unlistenable though.
I found little bit of thrash in it. The thrash sections resembles to "Black Tusk" playmaking.

First single from the upcoming APES albums is streaming over on Cvlt Nation. Sounds really really damn good. Black mixed with crust mixed with post-hardcore with a slight melodic tinge that makes the one track more addicting than crack.

Intriguing, somewhat lo-fi black metal. Very dynamic songwriting and has a kind of medieval vibe to it.
Didnt know how to take it serious at my first listen but now when I dont its stunning.

More people seriously need to check out this Sielunvihollinen album. It's basically just a melodic black metal album with lots of Dissection influence, albeit a tad more "black 'n roll" sounding, but goddamn is the songwriting phenomenal. Quickly becoming one of my favorite and most visited albums of the year.
Good choice, this band fucking rules.

Ambient black metal in the vein of Darkspace The second track is a pure ambient / drone though.

Ah, was it already posted here? Forget to check lol. Didn't realize it was a Bong-related project, but that definitely makes sense.

New project featuring Mike Patton, Dave Lombardo, Justin Pearson (of The Locust, Head Wound City and Retox) and Michael Crain (of Retox). Sounds as weird as it should but its metal alright.

New Temple of Void song. Solid doom/death.
Temple Of Void - Lords Of Death
And some crushing crust/black metal featuring members of, hold your breath, Lycus, Your Enemy, Ghoul, Tombs, Mutilation Rites, Deras Krig, Void Omnia, Ulthar, Abstracter, Atrament, Moral Void, Black September, and Reivers. Yeah thats right. Anyway it sounds tormented, vile and awesome.

Damn, I really don't like this... I'll have to revisit it at a later date and see if that opinion changes. The third track sounds pretty nifty, but other than that it doesn't really appeal to me.

Wtf is this.
Seriously odd and off-beat black metal. It is not overloaded with layers of fast guitar, and yet it manages to sound absolutely chaotic. It is like "21st Century Schizoid Man" gone black metal ( I stole that from NCS).
great on every aspect:

Yeah I saw and tbh I am mightily disappointef by this standar dm averageness. Signing to a bigger label hadn't done them any good it seems.

I've been waiting for this for a long time. And it's excellent. Their debut Superion is well worth checking out too if people haven't heard it
