Death Magnetic is not what metallica should be. im agree. when we talk about a big name like tallica, we cant say that Death Magnetic is very good. but when u look at it just like another albums, its really nice.

as i said i dont compare metallica(new) with metallica(old) i compare it with new albums. and i think it desreves 10. its an alright album.

You say it is an ALRIGHT album so how the **** can you rate it a 10 then? A 10/10 means it is a perfect album in one's opinion and you have stated several times that YOU DON'T consider it a perfect album.

Back to the topic; I can't say I really liked any of those albums much, but Christ Illusion had a few good songs like Catalyst, Cult, ect. United Abominations had the song Sleepwalker which I thought was killer (though it's the only song I enjoyed), and then Metallica's album had no good songs . Slayer for the win on this one haha.

Well its not the fact that he thinks its a 10/10, but the fact that he even said it was just alright etc. If someone was to vote St.Anger a 10/10 I'd still respect that, as long as they could give reasons why, as opposed to just trying to get the overall score of that album up.

I have now heard all three albums and I think Christ Illusion is the better album out of the three...it packs more of a punch than the other two...the guitars are a lot heavier, Araya's voice has more balls than James's or Mustaine's...it's an angrier album too...

I NEVER said that mainstream = sell-out, I just said that Metallica - Metallica = sell-out album.

"Fake Poser" the title is a joke based upon some former poster who didn't particularly care for the genre classification of a very popular band listed on this site. he started firing off angry pm's to a host of users - staff and 'regular' posters alike - and referred to staff members as "Fake Posers."

We found this hilarious because it's a double negative and thus nonsensical and because of the mentally unstable nature of the individual from whom the insult originated. We joked that it would make a hilarious custom title. hooray.

Hmmm, I don't really know if I consider it a comeback album...

But Christ Illusion, hands down, receives my vote.

Voted for Christ Illustion for sure.
Death Magnetic is not really comparable with thrash metal albums IMO but It's an awesome album.
The weakest is United Abominations, very simple and tasteless for me....

I hated Christ Illusion alot , very st00pid album...
Death Magnetic, forgetting who is Metallica, and forgetting all the announcments they made before this release, i think it's the best album in metallica's new wave, it's not that bad,

but for United Abominations, megadeth stayed more original that Metallica and Slayer and for sure Anthrax the fourth elemet in the "Big-Four"
so i'll go with United Abominations

Anyway talking about the new albums for the old thrash bands, Testament - The Formation of Damnation was the best....

The last time Metallica made a good song was 25 years ago. And I agree I don't really like Christ Illusion that much anyways, but compared to Death Magnetic it's glorious. Also, if you hate them at least recognize that Megadeth and Slayer are trying to stay true to Thrash.... Metallica is soley in this for the money.

Don't you think "My Apocalypse" is a Thrash song? I Agree that Death Magnetic is not a "pure" Thrash Album, but i think Death Magnetic is the best album that metallica ever made since "Justice".

But in the case of Comeback album.....you should have give the option to Vote for The Damnation Of Formation from Testament....
