for me, i like it when they know a balance between the singing and guitar playing, a thing which Dave Mustaine and Alexi Laiho do. between these i'll choose Mustaine though, because while laiho is more technical guitarwise, dave's got a better voice(lol though it's not very good, i know) and he's able to put some emotion and power in his voice, while laiho's sounds monotonous. just growl growl growl raagh raagh reaper

Ihsahn of emperor, holy crapy I cant believe I almost forgot. He also does some crazy licks on the guitar. Great composition as well, the structure of the music is much to be appreciated.

I vote for Pekka Koko of Kalmah he is a really good (guitar-vocal)ist and second would come Devin Townsend of Strapping Young Lad another great guy....

I would say four guitarist-vocalists: 1. Jon Nödveidt (Dissection) R.I.P 2. Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom) 3. Petri Lindroos (Norther, Ensiferum) 4. Jari Mäenpää (Wintersun) These four is just gods on both guitar and singing at the same time, especially Jon and Alexi that does their bands lead-guitars while taking care of the vocals as well!
