Female fronted post-metal in the same vein as Neurosis and Pelican.

Psalm Zero - The Drain
Whole album available for streaming here:

Dunno if this belongs here but it certainly is wierd (for me anyway).
It's got with clean, hardcore and black metal vocals and group shouts ?!? Riffage is melodic but occassionally quite heavy and discordant.
I'd agree with the "industrially polluted" descriptor they use as drums occassionally sound industrial.
Not my usual listening but found it by fluke and thought some of you lot would be interested in it.
Ah, the Castevet guitarist's side-project. Certainly belongs in here. Not quite pleased with the drums, but the music is intriguing.

Now this is what I am talking about. Has every element I look for in post metal. Thanks.

New Carthasy. For fans of Karnivool and Tool.

Haven't heard of these guys but I see they're from my neck of the woods, although a fair way to the west. Thanks for the rec, we do have a lot of alternative metal in Australia and it's interesting to hear a band put more of a post twist to it.

They released a decent EP in 2011. This is their first major LP and liking it

This is awesome. Great mixture of all the elements I like. 3 songs, over 40 minutes...kaboom.

Great selection! This reminds me vaguely of a Holy Terror band named Catharsis. If you haven't heard of them, you should check out the albums Samsara and Passion immediately, for they are of the highest quality.

Amouth - Awake
slightly hypnotic quality to it. And the general approached seems like it's more stripped down, so it almost sounds like shouted vocals on post-rock instrumentations.
what's more interesting are the wooden cased CDs...

Hmm, I will give it another try because I put this on my "No" list a while ago, and I don't seem to remember why, lol.
