Rogue One (2016)

Not entirely utter shit as I expected. The redeeming parts for me were the slightly sad ending and the awesome hammerhead ship scene. Everything else is formulaic shite. All the action scenes were boring and to hell with character development. The antagonist's scenes in the movie were the only thing that were decently done.

Before Sunrise (1995)

As far as romance movies go, this one was great, with believable characters, natural-feeling dialogue and great directing. It was also just a plain great movie overall, so definitely recommended for all romantics and other movie goers.

Mud (2012)

Only thing good is McConaughey's performance. The plot and the story is kinda lame but the film keeps up the pace well enough for a one time decent watch.

The namesake radio program which the film is named after is pretty funny and insanely satirical and smart, pretty incisively smart movie. The only thing I didn't like about it is the college setting and it would've been better if it was placed elsewhere.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street (2007)

Outstanding movie. Easily the best from Burton-Depp combo and will probably remain so. Helena Bonham Carter delivers a decent performance but it seemed a bit controlled and limited for no reason. And Alan Rickman was undoubtedly stellar.

La La Land (2016)

It is like smelling poop, not one's own but other's which you can't stand, straight for two hours while watching a documentary about it.

The only thing I didn't like about it is the college setting and it would've been better if it was placed elsewhere.

Terrible film, failed on all fronts. Not funny, the so-called satire was horrible, it was non smart.

I switched this one off after half an hour. Just couldn't stand it. But then again I really hate musicals.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Really good dialogue, stellar performances from Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. It had a timeless quality; it did not feel like an "old" film, it could have been filmed last year. (Then again, 1966 is pretty modern when it comes to film.)

When it comes to psychological dramas that get unbearably close, this was probably the best I've seen. Really positively surprised, after the somewhat disappointing Streetcar Named Desire, whose characters did not feel real and relatable despite the surprising and intense plot.

Terrible film, failed on all fronts. Not funny, the so-called satire was horrible, it was non smart.

It was smart concept if nothing else, I enjoyed how they blow out of proportions even the mild racist actions of the white people in the movie.

a bit batmanish place, weird never exited night club but in end all made sense, bit he is way to old, old to be an actor un such movie,

Movie is unnecessarily long at too many places. The russian roulette scenes are the highlight. I actually came to watch this movie while searching for the most intense movies of all time but it seems this isn't as intense as it would've been back in its days still a good watch.

Crash (2004). A generally good movie about discrimination against certain races in California.

I watched Assassin's Creed movie and was really disappointed. I expected so much more from that movie.

Ostatnia Rodzina (2016)

11/10 The movie is about Zdzisław Beksiński and his relations with family. Truly a tragic one..

I re watched Coffee And Cigarettes from Jim Jarmusch (pretty sure it came out around 2003).
Another great one by Jim, and while now I wouldn't call it one of my all time favorites, it keeps growing on me and could potentially become one.

Alien Covenant was fairly nice.

Up to a certain point, perhaps. As it progressed, it became more of a cliché and was really cringeworthy by the end. I know many people weren't really satisfied with Prometheus, however, it still managed to do something different and expand the franchise's universe and that's why I had way higher expectations for the follow-up. In the end, while there are way worse films out there than Covenant, it just is nothing more but an average sci-fi horror flick. In addition, I don't really think it was a good idea to realease a bunch of all those extra teasers, trailers, and prologues while leaving the end product itself kinda patchy. And finally... after having paved the way to a potentially exciting expanded universe, it chucked most of it straight into the bin while screwing up the existing narrative even more.

Wilson (2017)

Can't even begin to describe how crappy this is. Woody Harrelson was decent - but that doesn't sustain the interest of watching him alongside plastic characters for 100 mins. I seriously believe it would've been atleast decent if he was the sole person in the entire cast with monologues or if he was alongside animated characters or whatever the fuck. Worst part is the actor who played his daughter - what in god's earth was that fat-ass thing? Holy-sheeeet.

Tucker And Dale vs Evil... an absofuckinglutely brilliant film.

FFS, everyone, even if your best friend invites you to watch it, just tell that friend to go fuck himself. That's what I should have done. Absolutely horrible and unfunny.

Watched 'The Salesman' last week. It's the second film directed by Asghar Farhadi that I have seen, the first one having been 'A Separation'. I do recommend and the academy award was well deserved as well.

Transformers The Last Knight (2017)
Caught this one on Monday, I've always loved the overdone special effects for the robots and the whole chrome-plated look of the movies and this one was no exception. I actually was a bit apprehensive at looking at the reviews and ratings that Bay has left even his own signature style work but this is the most Micheal bay-ish movies of all the transformers. The movie has basically three long action sequences as the 3 acts and each one was a feast for the eyes. Kinda fan service good if you love the film series. I think I am gonna actually miss Bay helming the transformers series, gotta wait and see how the look and feel of this series changes once different directors are brought in. I hope it doesn't become as worse as those Snyder films and yeah thats what I fear most because Bay was atleast fucking consistent as fuck.

War For The Planet Of The Apes (2017)
Just came back from the Cinema after watching this, overall feels a bit of a letdown from Dawn. Main problem is the build ups are basically too long and make the actions sequences feel less satisfying after those long periods and also the movie moves at snail's pace. The emotional depth, nuance and moral dilemmas are there alright but the story is basically a one-liner and not much happens plot-wise. Watch it for Serkis' performance and oh Woody Harrelson isn't utilized very effectively either imo, what a bummer.

Watched this a couple of weeks back, very strictly for Ridley scott/Alien/Fassbender fans, lol.
