Bit of a weird album - seems to mostly want to be a folky black metal album, but then has random detours - Listen! is Wheel/Soen-style alt-metal, while Bard Of The Hell-Bent Angels feels like metal-celtic punk. I don't dislike any of it, but it feels a bit inconsistent and unsure what it wants to be - it's in an awkward place between 'stylistically consistent' and 'stylistically all over the place'

Your right I think this is a weird album too, I'm getting some neo-folk elements mainly but I don't it all that interesting, a wee bland imho. I will have to give it another listen in case I missed something

This album really gave me the feeling, what the hell did I just listen. The calm folky intro gave me some picture what the album would probably be like but that changed soon after. Calm parts change to heavy and almost violent sounding vocals so suddenly. There is also some really odd parts, for example the end of Dissociate. It sounds so hectic, kinda alarm like. Then comes really calm Beating Heart. This album really is all over the place, but I have to say I like it. Weirdness is usually good thing, at least it's not boring. I also like the album cover art.
