Post here band names you have difficulty or are unsure how to pronounce. Hopefully someone will know the answer!

because you dont know a basics... you shoud have some baic to know how to pronaunce
and reemeber english is one of weirdest langh in german lang group... so its diferent, ger, duch, scandi .. are more simmilar

The word itself doesn't look very French, therefore I think it's "Alsest"... but "Alkest" sounds more comfortable and logical to me because that's the original sound of letter C in the Latin alphabet... the name looks Latin... might be the case here...

Yep, it's "Al-sest". Or at least that's how I or any other french-speaking metalhead I encountered pronounces it. The letter C can either be pronounced as a "s" or a "k", it really depends on the word...

That's how the band pronounces it and how everyone here pronounced it back in the day. SO that would be your safest bet.

It is an actual word, and has nothing whatsoever to do with phlegm or lobotomy. Lol.

Actually heard it used on House M.D. once. It's pronounced exactly as Joe said.
