It's no Citizen got Kaned, but It did make me laugh at points and I mean laugh out loud for minutes and minutes. It was so bad, it was so ridiculous, it was so... idk. It's a film you have to see for yourself, I guess.

The long riders- Nice western, nice shooting about James-Younger Gang. This movie should have remake. That cowboy yihaa scream , use brains not bullets run in, if they would planning and so on they would be alive.

Solo: A Star Wars Story: It was ok, probably the worst of the modern lot though. I enjoyed the first half an hour or so a lot, felt the pacing and action was really good, but after that it kind of ground to a halt really. There wasn't a great deal of story and was basically a heist film, but it lacked strong characters outside of Lando , who wasn't in it that much, and Woody Harrelson's character who was decent. The actor playing Solo wasn't bad per se, but really didn't feel especially Han Solo-ish and could have been any character really, and Emilia Clarke was a bit milquetoast and forgettable (though leagues better than her rendition of Sarah Connor). Hated the droid character too, far too humanised and impossible to suspend my disbelief for. The baddie was also a bit so-so and forgettable. They're clearly going for a sequel too if the cameo was anything to go by. Maybe I'll appreciate it more on a second viewing but there just didn't feel like there was much meat on it.

Killer Elite - 70's film. Nice one Frisko in 70's, nice interesting old school film.

The Last Castle - Nice one

En Man Som Heter Ove - Nice Swedish film about old grumpy man, maybe its about someone we know , look around, maybe there are such old man around in your story

Peacekeeper - Nice movie about nukes and action and so on, I wish it was 19995 when enemy was so weak and Swe and Fin made right decision.

An excellent movie reminding us of what a horror movie is and was. Reminded me of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist.

I, Daniel Blake (2016)

I really thought it was biopic and based on real life person but surprised to see after watching the movie that is was an work of fiction. Decent movie but feels a bit of a minimalist but very effective anyway. Felt that could've been more dramatic though but I guess then it would've ended up unrealistic.

You Were Never Really Here (2017)

This is the kind of movie I'm always on the lookout for. Really great camera angles, psychological perspectives, ambient and noise driver score. Kinda like a great post-modern thriller movie, at least in aesthetic aspects. The action is not glamorised and rather shown in awkward view angles and in a great natural and realistic way. You know its a great movie when you don't actually see the violence and fight but rather the consequences of it and this film does it well in spades. This director is someone who is really worth having an eye and deserves a lot more recognition and bigger opportunities in the future. And admit it for the nth time, Joaquin Phoenix is the most underrated actor of this generation.
EDIT: Well, the score is Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead, thats a smart pick because this film has most of its score imbued with the film's sound effects and are mostly ambient driven. Brilliance from both parties.

0/10 - Not only does it not share any strand of DNA with the original they failed to even make a watch-worthy action/adventure movie. The action scenes are the worst - they are absolute filler and are the weakest part of this entire movie. The comedy and chemistry between the actors was a redeeming quality but even that wasn't capitalized enough making it yet another huge turd among the recent forgettable blockbuster movies.

Inception - 7.5/10, pretty good. Touching ending. Not the best sci-fi movie ever though.

Arrival - 7.5/10, succeeded my expectations. Pretty interesting story.

Lost Highway - 8/10, one of Lynch's best, and one if his more simple and easy to figure out movies. Made a lot more sense on a second viewing.

Sicario - My least favorite of Denis Villeneuve's films for sure. Boring for the most part, nothing was happening in the first half of the film, making it really hard to follow the story and left me confused because I didn't know anyone's name or what the mission even was.

The Murder pact - Name says all, but well you know , its twisted. Film where ending says how all happened, who fucked who and why. It can be 20 min longer.

Watched Avengers: Infinity War a few weeks ago. It was pretty decent. Loved the emotional moments between the established characters and some of the action was cool too, but the two didn't work together particularly well for me. I wish there had been a few quieter build-uppy scenes and a bit less action.

I have seen all 3 ramekes, I like Olmos 1998 best, its more original remake, equal clone but modern technologies what was in that time. I liked it, ending was sam as 1th one , Travolta 2009 was well thing for new ending. ass model hehe

Watched Ready Player One... significantly altered the book, but at least I didn't lapse into seizures during some of the CGI fests. was nice to see a lot of Easter Eggs and callbacks to my younger years, but those were mostly very oblique or just image placements here and there. 2nd best random 80s references crammed into passing images on a screen behind South Park's Imagination Land.

Has anyone seen Bone Tomahawk? I saw it recently and a certain scene made quite an impression on me, to say the least.

Saw that movie The Endless based on Mercurial's recommendation. It was quite good and interesting for the most part. I loved the mystery surrounding the cult, it was intriguing and sometimes scary, but not as fucking humorless and miserable about it like a lot of movies would be. There was one character I found particularly funny and anyone that has seen it can probably guess which one. Some of the acting wasn't the greatest, but overall it didn't bug me too much. I'm interested in seeing the directors' other films, since apparently they are connected (I read a bit on Reddit about it)

I was thinking about the ending all night and am still not sure how I interpret it. Interesting stuff.

Also just saw Spring by the same team of directors. Sadly, it was significantly less interesting, though still alright. They were definitely at least trying to make something creative or new there. Good thing they seemed to have improved with The Endless, so I'm looking forward to whatever is next.

Glad it wasn't a waste of a couple of hours or so humour plus existential horror feels like a pretty hard thing to pull it off but I think it did it pretty well, and I agree about the refreshing tone of it; it's nice to go away from a film like this feeling failr positive and not downtrodden.
