I see no one has mentioned Black Shape Of Nexus. Absolutely crushing, utterly riff-based sludge (except the Microbarome Meetings album which is pure drone) from Germany. They have a couple of releases available for download on their website, especially the Live in Mannheim tape is devastating. I've given a shot to pretty much their whole discography and you can't go wrong with these guys.

Hey man, I was wondering what your thoughts are regarding The Mars Volta, especially since you commented that Rishloo's album had too much going on. I haven't seen you ever talk about TMV, and they have influenced many of the great artists in alternative metal right now, including Karnivool and Rishloo. Love them or hate them, I feel like they are a band that is important to be aware of if you want any kind of cursory understanding of where the alternative genre is going.

I only recently listened to their latest release. I like it. Has a little Voivod vibe in it. I haven't checked out their earlier works. Now I just might

Hi guys! Maybe this is an offtopic, but I cant find a nu metal band from 2000's. The only thing I remember was their music video - there was a guy with tiger/cat style lenses and forks in his head. Damn! What was the name of the band... I would be thankful if someone knew what I'm talking about. Tnx.

Another spacey, post rock-y, dark band from Boston; with female vox! - and they remind me of Junius too.

Man, the band is far too underground, even for such an elitist person like me
