Im in no need of history lessons at all and i know what the big four stands for as a thrash freak. I was sarcastic here because nowdays i would not count them to be one of the big four (not in musical terms). But ofcourse its based on my own opinion. And yes, i am well aware of their sales and dont want to give them any disrespect dont get me wrong.

BUT im also aware of their their big mtv glitter and glamour and the music that they where making till today. So for me they are not Thrash giants anymore...but the last album brought their music back in the good direction at least.....

Christ Illusion is the worst album of all three, I hate that album... i guess i love slayer so much that piece of shit was a real disappointment.

this thread is useless! first of all what the fuck is Great four? I dont believe in such Media-Maked things. Testament is more great than Anthrax for me.I know the great fuckin four is about 80's but who cares?
and about these three albums I have to say that all know about megadeth's last album. and about "Christ Illusion" and "Death Magnetic", these rnt the same Genres If u ask me! Lyrics, Drums, Guitars, Lead guitars and ...
IMO u cant Compare any band with the other! take a look at my Polls, u will see that I dont follow such funny Polls. every band has its goals and its view. WHAT THE FUCK IS THE SAME WITH THESE THREE BANDS? genre? genre itself is a funny thing. just a commercial label, thats all. Metallica or Slayer didnt know that they r making thrash metal or what the fuck u call it. so if u like to compare 2 bands with the same genre, IMO its funny again, cause I dont follow genres too. the only nice thing about genres is to find music of urkind. but sometimes all of us, have been deciet cause of these so-called Genres. in this site metallica is thrash in the other its area bay thrash, the other site calls it Speed Thrash. one person sais their balck album is rock another sais its hard rock....I say its metal!
Compare genres of these site with Metal-Archives, 90% of them r different.

You really need to calm down. I made this poll because I thought it was interesting. You can cry about it, I dont give a shit. You obviously dont know a damn thing about metal, If you dont like a poll or topic, dont go to it. Leave it the fuck alone. No one says you have to vote, or voice your idiotic opinions that dont make sense.

IMO the best out of them is Christ Illusion

But IMO no album from 200x's from old bands can beat Enemy of God

I have to go with Christ Illusion - I wasn't wowed by the other two, nor do I really like them at all.

Megadeth had a few good Songs on UA

This was damn hard. I really don't know. All of those three sucked soo bad... I really don't know but I think I remember United Abominations as sucking the least.

Damn this was a hard one, but I'll go for United Abominations. "Like more" isn't all that correct though. It's more like "hate less"...

Personally I think Christ Illusion isn't even in the same league as the other two albums on the list. Death Magnetic surprised me for quality, I was hoping when I heard in 2006 that Rick Ruben was producing the next Metallica album that things might improve a little, I just didn't expect an album that while it dosen't stand up to the 80's work it is still a strong comeback.

But in the case of Megadeth, I think they have been on plane for the last 5 years in term of producing consistent quality. Not outstanding but very good and worth every cent spent on both United Abominations and TSHF. United Abominations got my vote because I believe it to be slightly better than Death Magnetic, but not by much.

I agree with you there, Foundation of Damnation was testament at their best.

Voted for Slayer's CI, I would place Death Magnetic on second because it is 50% of a good album, the rest, well I didn't like it, and for Megadeth, oh man, UA... that album suck as fuck, It has only 2 good songs, I'm glad that Sleepwalker is the first song of the album.

And BTW, come on, if you want to know why are they the Big Four just listen to the first 4-5 albums of each of them and you will know why.

Slayer and metallica are equall in this poll (megadeth....... way far)... nothing more to tell..

As as big of Slayer fan i am United Abominations was fantastic and a home run for Megadeth.

I don't think james should sing anymore. Its not so good.

Christ Illusion, even if I didn't like that much. But for me Slayer is the remaining band that is still releasing great stuff, so therefore I wouldn't call it a "comeback" either. I think Metallica should've retired a couple of years ago, they're just not the same.

It's difficult, because all of the flaws on the three albums are different. UA is the only one of the 3 which has no filler tracks on it. (I'm not counting the abomination that is "....Set Me Free", seeing as it should never have been on the album in the first place! At least not as a regular track.) However, the volume of great tracks on CI is higher than that of UA. DM was a bit too ambitious, and a couple of tracks could have been doing with being cut in length. "Suicide And Redemption" is also the worst instrumental they've ever done. All things considered, all 3 are great albums, (if not classics) and showing the old masters have some petrol left in the tank yet! If I had to put them in order, it would be:

1. Christ Illusion
2. Death Magnetic
3. United Abominations

I love all 3 albums though!

Death Magnetic gets boring after awhile, United Abominatoins was ok, but has alot of bad songs on there and Christ Illusion probably has the best tracks on there.

United Abominations....Death Magnetic is lame and boring as shit. Christ Illusion kind of grew on me a little. Still one of my least favorite Slayer albums.

I like all three... But Christ Illusion would be the best. The thrashiest of the three, most old school sounding, just the best.

For me its between Christ Illusion and Death Magnetic, however United Abominations sucked IMO.

United Abdominations of course, CI is slighty less interesting.
