i like edguy a lot!!! i think tobias sammet is a great musician(just listen any of the discs he has made), the band is cool too and their songs are catchy and very enjoyable!!!:banger:

Tankerd and destruction also kick ass but i went for kreator, kings of german thrash

I'd have to vote Gamma Ray. Without Kai Hansen, I doubt Edguy would have existed, and they're Gamma Ray's only competition in this thread in my mind. It's not that I don't like the other bands, I'm just much more of a fan of these two.

Good work not including Blind Guardian and Helloween!

I voted for Grave Digger because they are my favorite band after King Diamond/Merciful Fate but I think that Gamma Ray is also fantastic, but I prefer Grave Digger because their very unique sound

Kind Diamnond and Mercifull fate are Danish bands

grave digger used to be pretty cool now id say either primal fear or kreator. grave diggers old stuff is really awesome new stuff is just average.

Kreator is my favourite among these because I like their music as well as lyrics.

Why aren't Blind Guardian in this list?! Blind Guardian is the best German band. It should be on any list. But, what the hell i voted for Gamma Ray

lyrics I like only realy Kreator lyrics but I dont see nothing special, because claisc thhrash metal lyrics

My favorite out of those are Edguy. They got great songs, the lyrics are great! Both serious and not serious at the same time. Tobias Sammet is one of my favorite singers. They got good riffs. One of the best bands that I have heard live as well, with Sammet telling bad, stupid and weird jokes.

and if i were to make a german metal list i would include blind guardian and necrophagist but seeing as i didnt make this thread

i would have to go with Crematory or Grave Digger

they´re a gothic band, lots of people knows them, though i have to say that i really dislike them, they get me soooo bored (i like gothic metal, but this one is unbearable) something good i have to say about them: they had a couple of albums with good covers, the one with the ship principally "Echoes"

Tough choice between Sodom and Kreator. Went with Sodom because I own more of their albums.

Out of those bands, I would definitely have to go with Crematory. I mean, their new album was very experimental but still very talented and full of feeling. Also, their keyboardist is amazing and definitely on my top list.

l voted primal fear, seen them live, they ruled big time. edguy second, superb vocals, l just dislike rocket ride. then gamma ray.

Edguy are both funny and have happy melodies

from that list i choose Rage because the musicians in it are superb and they were great when i saw them live. i dont really like any of the other bands on that list so it made the choice qutie easy for me. and Edguy sucked big time when i saw them live :/ dont really like them on cd either

my favourite german band however would be Rammstein

Definitely Gamma Ray, and I like a lot bands like Stormwitch or Running Wild gogogo

Lacrimosa, it has been one of my favorite bands for a long time. The orchestration, the lyrics, the music... everything is perfect.

I knew Kreator would win lol! I chose Sodom. And the Crematory from Germany sucks, Swedish is 10 times better.

Well if you say so then proove it why

im not proclaiming that as fact, just opinion. This is one of the only times I will ever encourage downloading music, but find Crematory's demo, The Exordium....it rules. If you listen to that and still like the German Crematory better than, well, to each his own.

I go with crematory, since they are one of the best doom metal bands in germany. there work is excellent! especially the older ones. They are very influential and unique in doom\death genre. Also, dont forget about Lacrimas Profendure, those ARE my favourite in gremany. I wonder why they are not included in the list... Anyway, there music is something outstanding, i cant stop lestining to them, for those who dont kno them, check out there album "memoradiam" . There is a special gothic touch that makes them a big deal in doom metal...

Moreover, Kreator is not an ordinary band. They can rock the hell of me in there gigs!! " Violent Revolution" is a great reference!

I have no comment on Lacrimosa but that they are one of the most amazing mellow gothic bands i have ever knew in my whole metal experience. I recommend any gothic fan who like deep doom touches on his music to lestin to this band..
