The sound of perserverence is my fav followed closely by symbolic - sound has so many great songs filled with kick ass riffs and solos

The Sound of Perseverance for me. It was the first album I owned by Death. Leprosy comes in at second.

Sound of Perseverance all the way. My second fave is Human, but it's about tied Symbolic. Symbolic seems more popular, but Human was my introduction to Death, so it holds a special place for me. For me, Human is kind of a grower album, largely due to the production. Symbolic just kicks you in your teeth from the get-go.

Scream Bloody Gore..but I think I just chose that because it's the first Death album I ever heard and one of the first metal albums I ever bought.

Holy fucking shit practically nobody is choosing SBG....one of the best albums ever made....

I don't think I'll ever be able to vote, this is because I constantly sway between Symbolic and Leprosy. Although I will admit I would have voted Symbolic, has I been asked a year or more ago

Leprosy , don't know why , but it's my favorite.

I voted for Human, because that album took Death to another level with the technical music and very very good musicians, wich i missed on SBG, Leprosy and Spiritual Healing (except James Murphy).

Scream Bloody Gore, some great songs although I had always seen Death as the most ridicously overrated death metal band

the last album is my favourite. ... specially Sprit Crusher and Voice of The Soul. and also legendry cover of Judas Priest Song. PAINKILLER ... Chuck did it even better than the original one

Symbolic, the first album I heard from Death, still my favorite

Symbolic is perfect from start to finish, every single song is amazing. There's something about The Sound Of Perseverance that's missing for me, it just doesn't "sound" as good as Symbolic IMO. For the others: Spiritual Healing is my favorite of the pre-progressive years and my all-time favorite Death songs are on Human and Individual Thought Patterns, "Secret Face" and "Trapped In A Corner."

All albums from Death are great but I have to go with The Sound Of Perseverance because of one song: Voice of the Soul.

The Sound Of Perseverance...great songs my favourite two songs are....Scavenger Of Human Sorrow and To Forgive Is To Suffer...rotten sound,great vocals,kick-ass solos

Definetly Leprosy! That's a great album, very raw, heavy and at the same time catchy.

taht's a hard question...I'll go for symbolic...great solos, amazing riffs, my second favorite is Individual thought patterns, the most technique I think.

I used to like The Sound of Perseverance much more than Symbolic earlier, but now it's vice versa. They, in fact, are pretty close, with the former having one of the coolest instrumentals Voice of The Soul. Still my vote goes to Symbolic.

I voted for Leprosy!

I love Pull The Plug and I probably listen to Leprosy the most, but it was a tough choice between this and Symbolic. I think Leprosy needs more votes anyway!

I actually think all their albums are great. Awesome band!

Leprosy has really grown on me as well. The later albums are probably technically superior, but I prefer the overall sound of Leprosy

I agree with Metal_Militia. I actually think Leprosy is their worst album. Although I like the melodic facets of Death's music, I enjoyed Scream Bloody Gore much more than Leprosy.

Symbolic it has great songs like symbolic,misanthrope,crystal mountain

Sound of Perseverance.
The technicality of the album and the song structures are incredible.
Also, Voice of the Soul honestly has to be one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever heard.

I voted Symbolic, but it was a very tough decision between it, Human and TSOP.

Voted for Leprosy, IMO is the most brutal album ever, it sound is so pure, so raw, and Chucks growls sound so possessed and deep, this album is among my top 20 or maybe even 10 xD
