Which metal band do you hate the most and why?
For me, it's Behemoth. I hate the way these guys blaspheme. You read their lyrics, you find nothing, you ask about them, they're blasphemous! I hate Nergal too. He's very overrated. Behemoth's very overrated. They're crap and then they make four death metal albums and become number 20 on the popularity index! Overrated. That's my opinion though.

I HATE Suicide Silence and I HATE their music too. I hate all deathcore, it's just pure garbage. I don't think i need to explain why. I hate the band itself because one of those punk asses said he would try and fight Dave Mustaine for kicking them off Megadeth's tour. I don't know why the hell they were on that tour in the first place

Me too man, i hate deathcore, its just pussy ass emo bitches trying to play metal, but failing.

Mmm have yuo actually heard any Black Sabbath? By the looks of it you haven't. Sabbath with Ozzy is imo darker and heavier sounding than with Dio. The wall of sound Sabbath created cannot be found in any of those bands you mentioned. And Rocka Rolla album by Priest is less metal than Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Vol. 4, Master Of Reality etc.

ok, whatever mate. you can now tell me the whole hystory of this two bands, but my opinion stays. It was just my ''opinion''. first metal bands was bands from NWOBHM. Black sabbath is not NWOBHM! that is my way of thinking...

let's say I agree with you that the first metal bands are bands from the NWOBHM. Which I don't because even though it's your "opinion" you "opinion" is still historically incorrect because if there was no metal before the NWOBHM then that name wouldn't have existed either because the name implies there alreaday was British Heavy Metal around before the New Wave struck. But like I said, let's I agree with you... then Judas Priest is also not the first to play metal because they weren't part of the NWOBHM because they released quite a few albums before the NWOBHM struck.

If I were to select one band it would have to be Rhapsody of Fire. Just a few weeks back my friend brought me some metal CD's that his uni room mate left behind, and among them I found "Dawn of Victory". Since I hadn't listened to happy euro power metal for months I decided to give it a spin just for the hell of it. Mind you, I do know the band and I've heard most of their albums (including this one), so it's not like it was my first Rhapsody encounter.

The amount of cheese, kitsch and sugar that this music contains is simply unbearable. Halfway through the album I felt like howling to the sky our of sheer disgust. I didn't finish listening, and I don't think I will ever listen to a single song by this band. This is the metal equvalent of Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black put together.

I don't understand your comparision between Rhapsody and Justin Bieber... Rhapsody has talented musicians while JB and RB are simply idiots that think they can sing any dumb song.
I sincerely love Rhapsody and understand some people don't like the melodic thing... But comparing then with JB is simply unbearable

What I meant was the amount of cheese and kitsch in the music, not musicianship. No matter how many virtuosos play in Rhapsody, their music is still incredibly bad.

Anal Cunt.

The thread title is "metal band you hate the most"... I wouldn't class Anal Cunt as music of any description, including metal, so I couldn't really choose them. There's not a shred of talent or musicianship in their brand of noise, and if not for their outlandish lyrics, nobody would care or would have even heard of them.

Extreme examples like AC aside, I don't really hate any band. There's just bands who make music I like, and bands who make music I don't like. Most music takes a semblance of talent to create, and I can appreciate that, even if the music isn't to my own particular tastes...

I think Marcel explained it perfectly here. That "NW" means New Wave, meaning not the first wave, meaning there was a first wave prior to NWOBHM.

Just like black metal. The Norwegian movement may have been more popular, but that wasn't the first wave.

ye, I made one mistake in explaining.
bands like Judas Priest or even Maidens started before NWOBHM. (Maidens still didnt had their first album or demo)
other bands like Saxon, Diamond Head, Angel With, Tygers of Pan Tang... heard that ''havier'' sound Judas Priest or some other bands had, so they formed a Heavy Metal Bands. no one knew back then that was a NWOBHM. they were just Heavy Metal... you understand what I'm saying?
I realy apologize about my English... I meantioned Ac/Dc. their album Let There Be Rock(1997) maybe had harder sound the Sabbath (just listen to Whole Lotta Rossie ) but you cant say that Ac/Dc is heavy metal. if you judge by lyrics...? there are many, many bands with lyrics about girls, alcohol, drugs... but they are still Heavy Metal... anyway, if you judge by lyrics, Sabbath had more ''happier'' lyrics, then ''dark'' in their Ozzy carrier.
one more thing. Sabbath carrier after Dio is just... awfull! (my opinion again)
once again, sorry for my not-good-english!

Avenged Sevenfold - popular but I have no idea why. Just fucking terrible.
Korn - just tremendously overrated and lame.
Disturbed - turned into pop-metal, over-produced shit.
Cavelera Conspiracy - some of the worst crap out there still living only by the shadow of Sepultura's success.

I can think of too many 'metal' bands i dislike as such. I suppose im not such a fan of the likes of Korn, Slipknot ect. But from what i hear there are a few people that would go down that road.
I suppose one popular "metal" act I just can't seen to get into is In Flames, and another is Disturbed, and another is Shadows Fall, just can't seem to get into them no matter what I try. I respect them, as well as the bands of the Nu metal scene which i mentioned before. But I just cant get into these bands.

For some reason Limp bizkit is considered nu metal, so they would defiantly be my least favorite "metal" band... maybe just band period.

And they aren't a metal band, but the band I seem to get the most flack for not liking is AC/DC. I liked a few of their songs as a kid, but those were the songs that got played constantly on the radio so by age 13 they just annoy the hell out of me.

Me, I don't hate any metal bands. There are bands I dislike and don't listen and don't care about them, in the past I had my fair share in bashing Rhapsoy and Manowar and probably some other bands, now I'm too old for this sh.it. Hatred is such a strong feeling and also a strong word and for me hating =/= disliking, being irritated by, not finding interesting, finding boring, lame, etc etc....

I totally love all the I hate - insert any popular nu metal band - because they're not metal, har har har, arrgh arrgh arggh!!!

Wow.

Slipknot are a good gateway band, they helped me discover a lot of the metal I listen to today. And I still listen to Disturbed, although they're better described as an alternative metal/hard rock band than nu metal.

Anyone who hates Sabbath or Maiden doesn't deserve to be on this forum.

Depends on which Maiden era you refer to.

The band I hate the most is probably Manowar.
