@no one: looking through your fav bands list Opeth doesn´t seem to be the right band for you but they are said to always put on a great show so it wouldn´t be unwise to consider seeing them
Necrophagist's "Stabwound", Deeds of Flesh's "Crown of Souls", Nile's "Sacrifice Unto Sebeck" - what do all these songs have in common? Well, it's insane drumming. Can you recommend me songs with similar drumming? I'm pretty sure Behemoth fans or Cryptopsy fans must know of quite a lot of these. Please don't say stuff like: "anything from band "x" has good drums", post the name of the one song that just rocks your socks from the certain band, maybe why you like it i.e. blasts, double bass. Well, let's hear it!
I'm no drummer but I am always amazed and the consistent fast and accurate drumming of the Akercocke drummer. When you see them live he is like a machine for 60 minutes. I don't think I've ever heard him miss a beat. Really impressive. He does drum to a click track on headphones but I don't think there is any shame in that. A lot of the technical drummers are doing that at the moment.
i'd say definitely..."Chris Adler"...that man is a legend...
u may try listening to"sublte arts of murder n persuasion" live...u'll know what im talkin about!
Check out the live clips of Wolves In The Throne Room on YouTube. The drumming is superb.
The drummer from Divine Heresy is also superb. Again, check out you tube for some studio/rehearsal footage.
Anything by Stampin' Ground usually features some absolutely psycho drummoves.
Also, Spastic Ink. They're brothers, both incredibly gifted. The guitarist always goes a little too abstract for me, but the drummer is always on perfect form.
To me Rapture-Morbid Angel and Cast Down The Heretic-Nile are two punishing songs with killing rhythm. Suffocation have also perfect drumming but I can't find something to suggest right now...

Tim Yeung (Divine Heresy, ex-Hate Eternal) is RIDICULOUS. they dont call him "The Missle" for nothin.

Kick Ass, Die Young
Less is More
Stay Pure
Stay Poor
Music was my life, music brought me to life and music is how I will be remembered long after I leave this life. When I die there will be a final waltz in my head that only I can hear.
Rainbow's "Stargazer" and "A Light in the Black" require some insane drumming. Even the almighty Cozy Powell was completely exhausted after playing those 2 in row.
I'd propose 'capillarian crest' or 'aqua dementia' of Mastodon, where Brann Dailor doesn't really drum the fastest nor has the heaviest double bass or something like that, but the rhythmchanges at this tempo are impressive and its just...um, insane!
Next on my list of insane drummers is Mr. Haake from Meshuggah - 'bleed' is a quite nice example from the current album, 'combustion' is also a powertrip.

The struggle to free myself of restraints, becomes my very shackles
Hellfire -1349 (Frost is amazing in this song)
Masters Apprentice - Opeth (I watched them do this live and the drummer when they finnished was completely f****d.
I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet, but 'No One Wins' by The Berzerker was sent to the Guinness Book of World Records for fastest drumming ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gqVVQ-q8Zs&feature=PlayList&p=DCAEF7B0E1BEC60D&index=0&playnext=1
