My favorite band from Germany is Xandria, the probably second and third are Haggard and Subway to Sally. When I think Germany I think Folk Metal! Off the list I'd probably say Edguy though. How about Scorpions!?

There you got very differents bands ... maybe Kreator it's a fucking great band in teutonic thrash.. and in all the world I ought to recognize it ... BUT for me .. that I prefer power metal ... I voted for Edguy that's also one of the biggest bands on earth ... and Germany it's the best metal country because alla the differents types of band in different styles ... and always good bands ... my vote was for Edguy .. but I have to recognize Kreator and suggers Haggard and remid you thtat Gamma Ray ... 3º ... lol

Out of those bands I voted for Gamma Ray, really good band.
I almost voted for Edguy, the only reason I didnt was because of their last album, it really disappointed me.

Hmm.. although this list has many great bands, for me amongst them the best is Gamma Ray. Although I dont like all their material, albums with Kai on vocals are generally very good, or excellent, and kinda better continuation of "post-kai hansen" Helloween than the Helloween itself IMO.
BTW, I think this list is desperately crying for Blind Guardian and Haggard

Kreator! One of the best thrash bands ever!

Edguy has always been one of my favorite bands. I just can't resist voting for Edguy. Tobias Sammet is just a genius.

Primal Fear. They're like Judas Priest but heavier.

I think that a while ago I voted for Kreator, but now I would probably for Gamma Ray...it's also one of my favourite bands generally.

Errhhh, I voted Sodom yesterday and my computer froze! But yeah, Sodom gets my vote out of these bands. I think I was expecting MORE....not on the lines of this music, but whatever. Outside these votes, I'd say Secrets of the Moon would be my favorite German band.

Kreator for sure.

All I know for sure is that Grave Digger is not the best out of those bands! The only album I like with them are Rheingold, everything else they've done sound exactly the same!

Hey, try to understand him, he's swedish. About two weeks ago in the magazine was a thing about swedish music teacher, who lost his job after a week working. Reason ---> the man plays in metal band. Headmaster said that it's against schools figures, ethics, and parents of the students dislike it.
So, what swedish people know about metal music? Well, they've such a great metal band called Grave, which is one of the best metal bands in whole universe along with the greatest metal embodiment in germany, Grave Digger. Energy of metal elements in both bands are unlimited.
