I'm agnostic. There are just so many options of religion, how should I know there's a right one? Especially when all or most of them have caused harm to people and/or hindered human development, and, well, some still are. Overall, religions seem more like a tool of control and oppression than anything else. Censorship, holy wars, hypocrisy, the inquisition, brainwashing, taking people's money, the social stagnation caused by beliefs such as karma... the list is endless. I can't trick myself as well as to believe in an afterlife either. I think just a big black void awaits us. Well, better keep expectations low. I'm not an atheist either, because I'm not saying there's no god, I'm just saying that, like MadGatsu said, I won't believe until I see it.
So I vote for "Other".

I believe that Im a God...I believe that you should only love those who deserve it and in fact, I find the greatest sin is to committ to a following, that I would describe in the sense as herd.

Well, apart from what I am on paper ( catholic ) I try to learn the most out of each religion without having to having to be involved in that religion...Im an observer, there are lessons to be learned about every religion wether it be negative ( instutionalized religion, ethically and socially ) or positive ( forgiveness, self belief, love etc ). But I also dont deny the possibility of a greater power...a creator, maybe a few, maybe time itself is god, or even ourselves. Maybe there is a power that is communicating to us through ways we would not understand.

Thats why I dont believe in following an institution, its better to follow your own ways and discover what you are capable of, rather than be stuck in a system of rules and moral guidelines. God(s) or Godessess's are beyond that. IMO...of course.

Why can't one listen to black metal?
I listen to it and I love it.. So what?? And some ideas of Satanism seem very good and reasonable in my opinion... So what??? Does it make me worse than others?
If you have something against Black metal, just keep silence and don't say that f***ing "stop listen to it"..




Anyway... I voted for Atheism. I've never believed in any god and I don't see any need to do that. I'm not christened and I'm proud of it! I believe that every man can make his own life without any help from others especially from non-existing deities. I consider believing in them as cowardliness and being weak..

After rereading that nightmare for 5-6 times some sentences now seem a little clearer for me.. so:

I found that intresting to. My theory is that since satanism has become somewhat "untr00" and "poserish", people has tried to find another religion that still is largely present in metal, but not as "untrue" as satansim. And voila, here we have ateism.

Personally I found Ateism a little too boring and pessimistic for my taste, and considering how complex lif is, with it's billion of species, galaxies etc, all bound togheter in diffrents systems controlled by the laws of physics, I don't think it's a considence. Who the creator(s) is/are, I don't know, and I'm not so sure I want to find out either.And also I have read to few religious books (and other kinds of books that touches nearby subjects) to even speculate about it. Perhaps after some years of studying I can come back to this subject, ok?

On the paper I'm a christian protestant, I'm been christened(as an infant) and I'm aslo a member of the swedish church(again, since I was new-born). Despite that I'm unsure were I stand religously I'm going to keep being a member of the swedish church as they do some great work such as grave tending, comforting families in times of loss and helping exposed people in general. And I must confess that i like some of the holidays aswell. I've never felt so spirtual as I do when it's in the morning of saint lucia's day.

Good post satanism was TrOO in eartly days, then such Vark cvases makes it untrOO and metalheads somehow wanna proove thay dont do it, but still some blackers moustly blackers are sataists and old school death athesitic nihilists

So what do you belive in, do you have any specific rituals? (I'm not trying to start a debate, just generaly intrested).

we work we with wands and talismans and magic to improve ourself and help other people. we base our beliefs on the people of Elfin, like the name says they look like elfs have pointy ears and a strong bond with nature and power beyond the average human. but with the coming of steel, they started to die out, and most of them are scatterd around the world and some people have inhereted their power because their ancestor's were elfin like the shaman in our clan. the rituals are hard to explain, you have to be in it to understand.

yes, we belief in a sort heaven/hell, good people get a good afterlife while bad people will get a bad afterlife.

As far as I remember myself I've always been atheist...

Technically I belong to Russian Orthodox church, but that's as far as it goes (well I do love the churches, unfortunately not from a spiritual point of view :-P). I don't think it would be pointless to reconvert to any other religion, but as far as philosophies go, Satanism is probably closer to my way of thinking than anything else.

Well Im moe helleniv and armenian ortodox but still ortodox rulles an di love atmsofere in churches great fieling and hhe some ortodox priests has concats whit metal bands

i'm muslim(suni) by birth...was expecting more of us to be here

and though i'm born a muslim, i at times, share agnostic thoughts. not really scientific, but philosophical and spiritual thoughts. and other times i follow islam without hesitating..so dont really know what i am

difference between sunis and shiites is kind of like the difference between catholics and ortadox and Protestant. sunis and shiites are one of the main sections of muslims, and they break into 72 or 73 different kinds. and majority of those sections are closer to sunis or shiites, or neither.

difference between sunis and shiites is that sunis believe that muhammed is the last prophet, and that the quran has no alternative meaning to it. its as is. where as sunis believe that muhammed wasnt the last prophet, and since muhammed didnt have an heir, his cousin(or was it his brother?) becomes the next prophet...or something like that. dont know the exact details.







dont really think that bhuddism should be in the same category as hinduism. sure, they may have shared a common geological area...but if that is true, then Judaism, Islam, and Christianity are all the same religion, as they all have one land in common, and all share the same god.

I dont need a book and some dude to tell me what to do in life.
plus I dont want to spend money on something that cant do anything for me
and I dont want to waste my time praying. I have much better things to do

you hit the nail right there, it's not important for us and don't make such fuss about it. so far most us belief we came from the apes tough.
