In assembling nominees for the Metal Storm Awards, I tend to see fluctuations in quality for different genres year on year. After several very strong years for the genre, I’ve been a bit underwhelmed by death metal in 2023; however, Omnivortex have revealed themselves to be a diamond amongst the rough that is their competition.

It's certainly one of the better tech death releases I've heard this year. It's very well constructed with some great instrumentation, and has a slight progressive touch to it with quite an impressive flow too.

One of the highlights of a mediocre year for death metal (compared with the last few, at least); doesn't fall obviously into any one category (tech, disso, prog), but has bits of each of them, all nicely brought together

Very good tech death album. Not a bad song on there. Once I finished the album I had to restart it immediately. Was a blast to listen to.
