^Matt Damon isn't even in Mystic River.

I saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit last night for the first time in a loonnngg while. It's honestly a film you can watch and enjoy as a fun, colorful noir, or you can watch and marvel at how they actually made it in the pre-CGI days, just thinking of how they managed some of the real world/animation interactions, it's hugely impressive.

Night crawler
Man Jake Gyllenhaal is good at playing a creep! He plays this creepy dude who starts filming crime scenes for a news channel, some might say he pushes the boundary's a bit.
Good movie.

Wild
A true story where reece witherspoon plays this chick who, after loosing her mother to cancer, getting hooked on heroin and becoming a super slut, decides to go on a 3 month hike through some american western states (origon, nevada, california i think it was) through to canada.
A movie which had the potential to be a full on cheese fest like american movies tend to do to these more inspirational true story's, but kept they it real with the drama and was really well done. Good movie

Submarine
I think this was a Sundanese film. A story about two english kids who fall in love but have more adult themed trouble with there parents. Pretty funny in parts and another well done film but was probably more suited for the missus.

Good movie.

I bloody loved this movie, been a Jake G fan since I first discovered Donnie Darko, he really should've swept the awards for this one but Oscars somehow didn't even nominate him. The movie itself was probably my favourite of 2014 behind Birdman, both movies I went into with high expectations and wasn't disappointed, which doesn't often happen

Hej anti spoiler ppl, I am only one who watch here movies?

Blizk - Not good J Statham film , British one
I like how he beat up bad modafuckes, its old school wild wets lawman , same time every single cop in UK should be armed, in US they have rapid fire response unit, in US they have paramilitarized patrol car where cops looks like combat solders in Iraq. Always bad guy walks out because there are hall in a law. BTW what they did is illegal and need warrant
London made me depressed, working class, lower class in UK , I don't wanna be

BTW there are similar films, Boogey man, Children Of The Corn, Wishmaster Emetery Villa (or hat it calls) similar horror films?

Someone can remember name of film about idnian who needed money and ge gets and in end he goes to house where ppl kills him, and paid him to be for it and he gives it to his family
I saw it in 93 maybe

TV series , one was about end of a world, guy if I recall was similar as Lens Henriksen (maybe it was MIlenium) I remember something about corn fields
Other Tv series , plain disappeared and there were few ppl totally lost and one was blind girl , I saw both in mid 90's

The Langoliers was a given, The Stand was more of a guess. But cornfields is what I remember from it. That, and that it got all unhinged at the end. Also, if you google "TV series end of the world corn fields" The Stand comes up first. A tip for the future.

Yeah, I remember The Stand creeping me out but that was about 20 years ago. It would probably be a lot more hokey now.

Hobbit - Battle of Five Armies

Garbage. Just one long mindless battle scene. Whole Hobbit trilogy has been at best mediocre and at worst shit. They should've kept it as 1 movie.

They could never have got that HUGE book into one movie though.

Closer

Only watched because i had to see the movie that starts off the song "Abigail" by happy days. Great acting but bored me a bit. A drama about a lot of betrayal between two couples. Hearing the seen from the abigail song first kind of spoiled it a bit.

Maybe 2 movies then. There's also judicious editing - they did it with the LoTR trilogy, so why not Hobbit.

And also the emphasis on mindless battle scenes in both Hobbit and LOTR. And they got worse in the Hobbit which never had that much fighting anyhow.
And finally they included new bits that were unneceesary (e.g. pointless love tale).

The Hobbit was a tiny book that could have fit into one movie with ease, and yes, the love story they added makes me want to pull my hair out.

Sorry didn't get the sarcasm! So hard on the computer without hearing someone's voice and seeing their facial expressions and mannerisms!

thought it was pretty obvious considering the 3, 3 and half hour films or how ever long, and how tiny the book was.

I've said it before and I will likely say it again; the Hobbit* trilogy is utter garbage. They should have made it into one movie and Peter Jackson should have never laid a hand on it. He's good at the grand spectacle kinda thing, but The Hobbit's story didn't call for that, which resulted in a messy, bloated, CG, video game roller coaster ride. They should have hired a different director that was more suited for the job, but then they wouldn't have made all that extra money...

*very little focus on the hobbit in those movies considering the title.

Ip man : I RARELY watch action movies - but this one was definitely worth it, mainly because it's inspired from real events - interesting to see Bruce Lee's teacher.

Interstellar : Big meh... I guess I would have found it great if I didn't see Contact and 2001 Space Odyssey... I wasted 3 hours. I could have watched Das Boot or something (in my to-watch list since forever).

Saw It Follows a few days back. It's a horror movie that actually made me feel scared. It gives you a sense of dread, which is something that very few horror movies these days achieve. It doesn't rely on jump scares at all; in fact, there were many moments that any other director would have probably made into a cheap scare, but this guy made those moments all the more memorable by doing other stuff with it like slowing it down, zooming in, slowing down the music (so that it sounds completely unnatural; it was fascinating,) etc. The setting of the film was quite interesting as well in that it felt very retro (partly because of the soundtrack as well,) while at the same time modern and maybe even slightly futuristic.
I can't really say much more (or anything about the plot at all for that matter) without spoiling it, but I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cool retro horror film that's not about startling you with cheap scares.
