Hello guys, now I am ready to write a review for one of my favourite bands: Hammerfall. Hammerfall is just another Power Metal band, but if compared with several others (I will not say which ones) they are pretty good. This is their fifth work but I have to say that I am kind of disappointed with the fact that the band that has made such good albums like "Legacy Of Kings" and "Renegade" can't do something better than this.

The album has some great HF classics and deserves a 9, excluding "Knight of the 21st Century", that's among the worst, most ridiculous tracks I've ever had to listen. I seriously hope that's a joke.

Uninspiring songwriting, lack of energy... there are some okey songs here but none are really worth putting in any playlist.

All Hammerfall music is some kind of "guilty pleasure" for me, but this one is one of band's best efforts. Great album. \m/

wow, that's harsh.
Euro-power is rarely my thing, but I've always liked HammerFall, it helps that they have a very good vocalist (otherwise I wouldn't care much). I wouldn't rate any of their albums so low.

I remember how excited I was when this album just came out and after the first listening... yeah, it was a disappointment. The performance and production here are perfectly fine - all the problems lie in the songwriting, with a lack of fast-paced songs and catchy hooks. Plus, the twelve-minute ending "Knights Of The 21st Century" (where two of the last minutes are silent) is pretty meh and makes the overall experience even worse. Still got some good songs though, like "Fury Of The Wild", "Take The Black", "Secrets" and the only hit here: "Blood Bound". It has grown on me over the years, and it's not bad, but after four excellent albums in a row - this one is definitely a huge step down. 6.5/10
