A difficult choice between Burzum, Gorgoroth and Enslaved. I like all of them, but I choose Enslaved because they are the most varied.

I only listen to Mayhem, so out of these, Mayhem.

For me it was between Emperor and Burzum, but I listen to Burzum much more, and the atmosphere he creates really fits my state of mind so my vote goes to Burzum.

An old thread has been resurrected! From the poll list, I'd say Burzum was something which was that extra bit special from the early to mid 1990's era of Norwegian Black Metal. There were some great bands and albums from that time, but Burzum stands out with the otherworldly sound and atmosphere, particularly on 'Hvis Lysett Tar Oss' and 'Filosofem'. I remember those albums when they were originially released, and at the time they were very unique - and they still stand up as great albums in 2011.

Due to satanism in BM, I'm not much into it. But from the bands listed, I'll go with Immortal.

I really like Emperor a lot, In The Nightside Eclipse was one of the first black metal albums i ever listened to and I loved it.
