Moust overated band sin country about BM Impaled Nazarene and Horna, moust overated BM band sthere listehn Darkwood My Bethroned and you understand why

Voted "other". It would be Deathchain or Dauntless for me. Both are pretty much "deathrash" bands, and does the job better than others 95% in the genre imo. Band's new (2007) releases simply slays.

What is Deathchains new album like? I almost forgot about them a year ago, I have their first album and its a pretty killer album.

I would say its their heaviest album to date. Thers alot more death metal elements than in their previous works. Some Morbid Angelish riffs there and there and the overall feeling is more "sinister" than in their previous works. They also changed their vocalist in the end of last year. New vocalist (K.J Khaos from Deathbound and Duskfall) is even better than the last one. Shortly: their best album from them imo. Higly recommended!

All the band on the list i listen to all the time.But if i half to choose
it will be Eternal Tears Of Sorrow. Awesome band

Either Sentenced or Other (Wintersun). Or Moonsorrow. Basically because each band creates its own unique atmosphere masterfully.

(Man I really hate "justifying" my choices in polls like these haha.)

I could never vote... there are so many goods in there -lots are the best-... Hard desition :s

I really like Korpiklaani because of the acordion of course, and Ensiferum because, well, c'mon what;s not to like?

As far as power metal goes, Sonata Arctica is my favourite, although just a tad bit generic...

So this leaves us wit the extreme power metal:

CoB: Really awesome in the begining but now... "Tie My Rope" especially put me off.

Norther: Recently discovered them, they're growng on me at an alarming rate.

Kalmah: My favourite Finnish band. They stayed consistent - i like every song on every album, their keyboardist gives the band quite a sympgonic sound and the music in general is quite amazing.

I voted for other, as for some weird reason Thergothon didn't make it to the list, wonder why ? .
Anyway, they were a really great and innovative band, who have been a huge influence on Funeral Doom. Of the bands in the list, the only one I like would be Moonsorrow (though I haven't heard Amorphis and Eternal Tears of Sorrow yet, so I can't comment on them).

I agree about Therhoton, that was awsoem band, also old Unholy, Dolorian, Raven , Shape of Disapear,Tyranny, Woods of Belial and many other great doom bands, not usefull mention all because ewery band are unique, but those of funeral doom are awsome man

I voted for other, because Insomnium is surely my favourite finnish band. "In The Halls Of Awaiting" and "Since The Day It All Came Down" are two of the best albuns that i've ever heard. :

One of famouse and same tiem rearest band in Finland, hard to find CD and info about them in internet

Stratovarius, one of power metal bands that I like the most. Other bands from Finland that also like are Ensiferum and Nightwish.

Children of Bodom, because they started me on metal. I had listened to trad metal like judas priest, sabbath, and iron maiden before, but mainly classic rock and hard rock like zepplin, gn'r or hendrix.

I think the newer COB is mediocre compared to the earlier stuff, but it isn't that bad. however, some of the fans that COB has attracted recently are giving them a bad image.

There are a whole lot of bands too, which in my opinion are better than any of those. And the style ofcourse varies quite a lot too.

I agree with you concerning Amoral, they are really good, I find that the most talked about Finnish bands are somewhat overrated and boring, whereas other more interesting (and also innovative) bands are often overlooked.

Shit this one is hard I voted 4 children of bodom , but I must have included Norther dude , For me those are the best bands from Finland! Why? Just Because they are ...

I haven't listened to very many Finnish bands. From power metal I find the best to be Stratovarius. But in general my favourites are probably Umbra Nihil and Reverend Bizarre. Umbra Nihil has great blend of, doom, death and psychedelic rock and quite good lyrics, a bit simple(not in the sense ofcontent but more what words they use) but they create great feeling. Also great solos.

I have only listened to Amoral just a little bit, but they seemed good to. Same with Moonsorrow. And Thergothon.

I haven't heard Amorphis yet, though.

Pinusar alcohol stop me talk long about Finish bands, but try listen of Amorphis 'Karelian Isthmus' and 'Tales of The 1000 Laikes' good death/doom metal awsome band thay wa sinm early 90ties

Heh Kätilöt, it's the best industrial band we've got IMO. Actually Tarot's keyboardist plays also in Turmion Kätilöt.
