I did not really understand why they made an American version of it. It's just a run-of-the-mill thriller/detective story, the likes of which Swedish contemporary literature is saturated with. Really weird to do the same thing twice in such a short time. Are American so averse to foreign films, or what?

I would not be surprised if a lot of Americans don't know it's a remake, no offense intended

I watched the Swedish "dragon tatoo girl" trilogy a while ago, it was quite good, Americans are working on the second part remake, let's see if they deliver something decent. As for the first part, I enjoyed the sewdish version more, obviously.

Maybe they liked it, well Insomnia was more logical 1997 .- 2007 remake , good story line.
American had mistake, train scene was maid in Kiruna, close, and non goes from Stockholm to Skellefteå whit rain, I even don't know if there are railroad
Umeå yes, Luleå yes ... and maybe americans wanted own film in English, whit known actor?

in Europe we see all in origibal languadge, I dunno how much films, foregner films amnericans watch

I actually started reading the book, but once i was over the cool idea of it being narrated by a loony in a psychiatric ward it got boring and i gave up...i'm not really into light drama/comedy books.

Though the movie was really different from the book (apparently, my wife read it) I quite liked it once it got going, really liked the end....uh, i'm sure most of you know what plot is.

In the cinema - Jurassic World - Pretty average. I only recently started to appreciate how good Jurassic Park was. I thought Jurassic World was better than the poor sequels, but was so far behind Park in terms of quality. Too much CG, annoying kids, throwbacks to the first film, people not acting like people etc etc. Pretty forgettable

At home - Ex Machina - Great! Missed this one in the cinema, but I got the Blu-Ray and loved it. Quite "hard sci fi", with a focus on the characters and the technology over a lot of special effects. Only a few characters and that meant by the end I was pretty invovled with what was happening. Very nice film!

The Grey

A plane full of oil rig workers in alaska crashes. they then have to learn to survive without getting eaten by the wolves.

This could have been a good movie but was ruined by all the bullshit, and the close up shots on the wolves faces were soo unrealistic.

So i finally got the chance to see Mad Max Fury Road and well i liked it.It has its flows but it really reminds me of Road Warrior which is good , the cinematography is really good and well it really looks like Mad MAx movie. However i do not like the whole subplot similar to the Beyond Thunderdome's 3rd act and i think that is the biggest flaw to whole film. But boy is the rest good!
