Does anyone think they could elaborate on that Tyr pronounciation? Seems a bit ambiguous to me.

YOU (just the last sound) well its kinda hard to explain hehe but it means Grave in portuguese

I think its originated as some massive demon creature from the torah ( or old testament )

@Oracle: Yeah, it's just Opera 9 I think. Although I think Symphony X is "X" instead of "10". Can anyone confirm that?

Account deleted Written by Sunioj on 18.04.2007 at 01:19 Well, erm, I would say that post of mine you quoted was not the first one about Behemoth, checke the other page if you haven't already . That is actually the way i pronounce it, the french way. It is the same. But. My question was about "Begemot", the russian word for "Behemoth". But, my original question was about the way the Polish pronounce it, if there is a special pronounciation, and if there is not, which one should be chosen ?

Just to note, I'll always follow what the people on the radio say (I listen to a late night melodic metal show), in relation to the pronunciation, unless proven incorrect.

19.04.2007 - 14:30 Written by Stalker on 18.04.2007 at 15:13 Opeth is pronounced "O-peth". There's no real stress on the "O" apart from what your natural accent gives it(for example, Mikael pronounces it "Oh-peth", with a distinct extra sound between the "O" and "p", but that's more due to his Swedish accent).

I think Ajattara is "A-ya-tara". No, the "k" is silent in Slipknot, and Mudvayne is "Mud-vain".

20.04.2007 - 16:00 Written by Oracle on 20.04.2007 at 08:21 If you ask my opinion, it's more like "tewr". That is because in northern languages, the letter Y is pronounced like "ew", which is similar to the German letter Ü. Thyrfing is "thewr-feeng" also. Kotipelto = kotty-pelt-awe (when Finnish words finish with O, it is never "oh", it's always more like "awe" but it's short)

20.04.2007 - 17:53 Written by Sunioj on 18.04.2007 at 18:58 short and sweet one.. I've decided to pronounce 'krisiun' as 'kree-sy-un' until someone corrects me (maybe its correct?) (kree as in tree, sy as in shy and un as in undo)... Nepali tongue mispronounces most(almost all) foreign words, so its not my fault if the pronounciation of this one is wrong
