There's dark comedy, then there's derivative, predictable, humour that grew stale back in high school. Meet Superhorrorfuck, they want to be Wednesday 13 and/or Murderdolls, they failed.

The first track or two actually isn't all that bad; punky vocals, catchy chorus' and maybe a catchy riff here & there (and by a catchy riff, I do mean a in the singular sense.) By the 3rd track Living Dead Stars loses all steam. The blatant Wednesday 13 horror-pun knock off attempts fail entirely when you clearly don't have a tenuous grasp on the English language. But who gives a shit about lyrics, right? Well, you will, as the music becomes more forgettable as the album drags on, even more so when it becomes apparent that the whole thing revolves around the vocalist and his shit lyrics. You know it's bad when the most refreshing track on the album is a cover of Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold" (and to answer your question; yes, the original is better.)

Maybe shitting on Living Dead Stars isn't 100% fair, as there are far worse albums out there, and it occasionally has a few redeeming qualities pop up every couple of minutes. Usually each song has a pretty neat riff to listen to until the whole thing just becomes aimless chords to support their cliche image. So there's nothing all that particularly dreadful about it, it's just numbingly unexciting. A lot like a well planned bowel movement in many aspects, actually (slightly less satisfying, mind you).

Definitely worth listening to if you enjoy derivative, pointless noise, as well as music you won't remember the moment it stops playing.

You know, as you long as you smoke enough crack first, that wouldn't such a painful thing to do. Hell- it might even make listening to this album less painful as well!

I Hate You
This is a perfect example of a band that surrounds themselves with people who are too afraid to tell you that you suck because they don't want to hurt your feelings and see you whine. Bands like this get fans that like bands that their friends seem to like. I'm sure that, at every show this band plays in their home town, the same 30 people show up. 100% of them are pretending to like it. 75% of them are only pretending to like it because they are afraid of being uncool. Perfect example of why you shouldn't feed a shitty band's ego.

PS - I'm speculating, but I'd really be surprised to find out that this isn't true.

Is it a bad thing that I never even heard of this band of wackos until I read this review?

Probably not...
