Jon Anderson & Roine Stolt (of The Flower Kings) have made an album together that will be released late June 2016.

Sounds interesting indeed.

I looked around a bit and found the video where he talked about it. Man, Jon is such a hippie.

Keyboard legend Rick Wakeman & THE ENGLISH ROCK ENSEMBLE will release "The Red Planet" on April 3. The album features eight newly composed pieces, specially for this project, and harks back to Wakeman's critically acclaimed debut album "The Six Wives Of Henry VIII", where there were six heavy keyboard pieces based around a central subject matter. It is a serious return to "Wakeman prog."

YES has canceled a handful of shows in the U.S., in addition to an appearance on this year's Cruise To The Edge, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

they should have stopped when Chris Squire passed away. Who's gonna do the songwriting? Howe, Downes and Sherwood? I'm gonna pass on that.

From what I understand, it's mostly Howe and Davison, though I'm sure Sherwood and Downes will have their input. I'm curious, at least.

For so old and long running bald its relative good song. I wish such classic bands we would have more non metal articles about them as well.

I am slowly working on a massive Yes retrospective for my own blog. Maybe when I finish it, I'll consider revising it as a "Getting Into" article for here.

Well, the new album is out now, and I've listened to it. To be honest, I think I might have gotten my hopes up, as it has a lot of the same problems as their last one. I was hoping for more energy like "The Ice Bridge," but it ends up being a lot of proggy soft rock in the end. Still, it's an improvement, and there are plenty of Yes-like layers.

I don't know if it's a green light.
Isn't the article supposed to be approved by the mods? They will decide if such an article is ok to be posted, or not.

At the very least, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'm nowhere near done with my write up for my blog in the first place. ^_^;;;

We would gladly post it here but it has to be original material. It cannot be published elsewhere first, I am afraid. However, you can always post a link to it here so that we can read it when you finish it.

Well, what I'm doing would be a bit of a different format than the "Getting Into" series, so I'd probably use the one to fill out the other, maybe? We'll see what I come up with. I'm still not even a third of the way in.

Alan White, long time yes drummer, has passed away, 72, after a brief illness.
Shocking and sad news. I didn't know he was sick.
RIP

I knew his health had been in decline for about five or so years, so I wasn't completely surprised. The band have been using Jay Schellen to help out on tour and the last album, and I imagine that's who they'll go with for now.

Still, the passing of a legend. RIP.
