I think with the album's vocals mostly being dominated y female voices comes a great deal of melody and 'softness' to Cruachan's brand of irish folk metal, but it does offer a lot in terms of both accessible songwriting and continual flow to the album. When male vocals do appear, as on the Irish jig that is 'Oro se do Bheatha Abhaile' and it's successor 'Unstabled (Steeds of Macha)', it doesn't quite fit in, especially as the male vocals sound husky and not at all listenable. That said, this is still a pretty good album.
