Fantastic album. A must have for all folk fans especially if you like Ensiferum, Tyr and Turisas...

Better than new Ensiferum in my opinion. Same genre for sure.

Great album, though it's just too much Ensiferum imitation for me.

Now this is a refreshing album, wouldn't say its derivative of Ensiferum at all. In fact I'd take this over Ensiferum any time.

Innovative, forward looking yet contemporary. Similarities to Ensiferum are definitely there, but a little more symphonic. I really enjoy the video for Retribution. Nicely done, Brymir!

Well, after all the Ensiferum references I was a little disappointed... but I'll give it another go later.

I know their former drummer, great guy. According to him he wanted to do his own shit.
These guys are pretty much following the sound laid down by Ensiferum, as far as I know they even started out as a sort of Ensiferum cover band

Quite a nice album actually if you're into the whole "northern" metal scene. Has moments reminding heavily of Ensiferum and the likes.

Fuck originality!

Seriously though, despite the obvious comparisons to Ensiferum and Turisas, I still think that Brymir manages to make thier own little twist to the subgenre. I especially like the more symphonic approach and the catchiness which made me headbang franticly at more than one occasion.

One of the best debut albums I've ever heard! I'm loving the orchestrations, they make the music sound so epic!

After reading all the comments about Ensiferum I was really hoping not to hear these orchestrations :p I really can't get into the whole orchestra thing! I was expecting something like Falchion. Oh well the search continues

Some great music here. I feel as though the mixing isn't just right, which maybe it's just me, but I listened through some really nice headphones.

I enjoy the writing and the performance. I'd adore a sophomore album!
