Testament - Gene Hoglan To Assume Drumming Duties On Upcoming Tour

The drummer Gene Hoglan, who participated on the forthcoming Testament album Dark Roots Of Earth, will be joining the band on the upcoming co-headliner shows with Anthrax on the Anthrax North American Tour, to take place from October 28th to November 13th.

Here it is the official statement: "Bay Area thrash kings Testament are pleased to announce that current Dark Roots Of Earth studio drummer and world-famous percussionist Gene Hoglan will be joining them on the road for select dates on their upcoming co-headlining run with Anthrax. Gene will join Testament from October 28th through November 13th."

Gene Hoglan states: "As many of you know, I just played on the new Testament record, Dark Roots Of Earth, which went amazingly well. The dudes were kind enough ask me to join them for a couple weeks on this tour with Anthrax and Death Angel. I'm super stoked to do the shows. It's going to be a great time. Just so everybody knows, I will be selling my Drum Instructional DVD, The Atomic Clock, at the shows (shameless plug). If you can't make it out to one of the shows, buy it on line!"

As far as I know, he is still in Fear Factory... this statement still makes it sound like Gene is only a temporary replacement, not a full member of Testament. *shrugs*

I wish I was in the US where I could witness this tour. This is my dream tour. Testament, oh my fucking Thor I love this fucking band, Anthrax, were the best at my first gig ever and DEATH FUCKING ANGEL. T_T

Gene, Bostaph, doesn't matter. This band has had my fucking three inspirations in drumming all in the same band. Gene Hoglan, Paul Bostaph, Dave Lombardo.. wow. Also, Louie Clemente's drumming is something I love.

As much as I hope Paul is ok, this is actually good news to me. It'll be awesome to see em with Gene, here's hoping I get to meet him
