I like Darkspace's stage image. Nice, professionally-taken photos.

Thanks. I hope I'll have the pics of day 2 done by tonight. New job is keeping me awfully busy.

The first image off Darkspace set looks daunting

Amon Amarth <3
They had better gigs than this one. Else there wouldn't be any pics of Tragedy who played at the same time

HaHaHa,...I see! Well, every time I have seen AA they were great, but then again, never seen them at an outdoor festival ;-)

I saw them at Wacken 2009 where they were absolutely epic, they were at their creative peak and played on the huge stage with great sound and a lot of stage theatrics (characters fighting on stage, a fake wooden wall and even a longship)
It seems they didn't have their full stage production here, and the setlist is kinda weak.

While the word EPIC is so highly overused these days ... but talking about Amon Amarth (or Manowar ) it is THE ONLY word to use

the only word to use when talking about Manowar would probably be "halfassed" if that counts as just one word
"halfassed" in reference of their loincloth outfits
DEATH TO FALSE METAAAAAL
but hey, they have been around forever and are still pretty huge ... everywhere else except HERE in the US, their home country

That was DEFINITELY the best show I've seen of theirs!

It was really one of the highlights of the whole fest and I still remember my head almost popped out due to the violent headbanging on "Live For The Kill".
From the report I am actually surprised you enjoyed Skynyrd. For me they were a huge letdown at SRF because of the sore lack of energy during the show. The guitar performance was great though.

Mind reposting that under the report?
