    7.4     		So, Jon Shaffer and his bunch of ever-changing musicians are back in town with release number eleven, after 2011's Dystopia that finally set the bar pretty high, after maybe too many years of... well, not mediocrity, but of music that didn't live up to Iced Earth standards.

    Drums sound ear-bleeding to me. So I don't agree with this review at all:
    "The drums sound powerful without overruling the riffs or the vocals, the riffs and bass lines get the attention they deserve on this record, and the vocals are mixed in really well."

    Once my eardrums adapted to the drum sound, my favourite tracks are Plagues of Babylon and Cthulhu. Spirit of the Times is also a good listen.

    Easily my least favourite Iced Earth record, feels like listening to a bunch of leftover ideas thrown together. It's not a total waste of time as the middle part is quite okey but I probably won't listen to this one ever again in full.

    I didn't like this one. I complained of the previous album, I stand corrected, I found Plagues... uninspired and a chore to go through.

    I prefer Stu Bocks debut and ending album, but this well is ok in some way , best songs The End?, Spirit Of The Times and Highwayman

    From their last three records this was their weekest, miles away from their 90s stuff! Still better then their mid discography performance.
