even official snow mobile roads are 99% safe, but we ride over all and be in ice its always at your own risk, and mid april is my border when I go on the ice
We have one ice road for cars, in Luleå you can drive car to small islands . To get to the town I need cross 6 lakes, by snow mobile and almost all roads cross some water way. I gass as crazy when I cross rivers or big big lakes
Sister has something different to say about the heavy metal heritage it draws inspiration from. In their own unique way In Solitude involve themselves in the retro occult craze that seems to have taken over heavy metal lately, joining fellow Swedish bands Portrait, Enforcer and the most successful Ghost B.C., while not being as overtly "in your face" about it. Unlike Ghost B.C. these guys go about digging into the dark themes through music and music alone. Well, aside from the lyrics that is. They aren't as concerned with constructing an image around their music as much as making Sister the finely crafted exhibition of original heavy metal that it is.
Damn, at first I thought it was just a good album, but the more I listen to it, the more I like it. One of those albums that start growing on you with each spin. I found it more consistent than their previous albums, very solid. Seems like this band will do some more great stuff un the future.

"Les vers savent qu'ils n'ont pas d'ailes, c'est pour cela qu'ils se cachent sous terre"
Best album I've heard all year. Other than the debut, I don't really hear much Mercyful Fate in this band. Even their last album struck me as something more original than the average retro-metal record. To me, "The World. The Flesh. The Devil." was more of an evolution for traditional metal. Now, "Sister" is probably less traditional to my ears. With all of the old school gothic influences, I think they're doing something very original right now. It isn't your typical "gothic metal" album as you couldn't really compare it to something like Type O Negative or anything else along those lines. I think these guys have really come into their own.

At first I didn't care much for this release, but I decided to dust it off and give it another chance based on my love their first couple of releases, as well as all the super positive reviews showing up everywhere. I think you're spot on; this is less the Mercyful Fate sound of their early work (which I could listen to all day, personally) and more of a step towards an original voice. Gothy metal with very strong songwriting. I'm a fan all over again!
So psyched for seeing these guys live in a couple of hours together with Beastmilk. I just love this marriage of traditional heavy metal with post-punk and even some goth stuff like The Cure. Love it. It sounds so fresh despite the music and the influences being old.

They definitely pulled away from the traditional heavy metal approach of the first two releases here, and leaned more into something softer, and darker. It has a touch of gothic rock, even post-punk rock, but there's still some slight Mercyful Fate influences so there's a certain originality about. I'm not sure where they would've gone on from here tbh, I kinda see why they disbanded though, quit while your winning and all.
