Awesome. Here are a few recs thrown in for good measure:
Thanks a lot for the recs.
I'm listening to them in order. And added Contrastic. Will definitely add Psychofagist but my OCD kinda doesn't allow me to insert a split here, so first I'll look if there isn't a full length =P

Originally I thought about including Antigama but well... I don't know yet.

I also second that Contrastic and Psychofagist release.
Yep

Didn't you have a sort of electro-grind on your 2013 list? Meteor, I think it was called.
The Antigama release? Yeah, I thought abut adding it but when I reheard it I thought it wasn't as unusual as I thought it was...
Perhaps it was just mood, but at least for now I won't be adding them.
Also I don't have a 2013 list hehe but don't mind it

Seeing Mech being the first poster made me think this was his list. My bad.
Not sure how much grindcore though, as they walk a fine line between weird grindcore and weird mathcore, as well as screamo (which is a quite close genre to grindcore).
Written by Warman on 07.11.2007 at 22:39 Haha, that's like saying "compose your own Metal album and upload it here, instead of writing a review of an album".
What a great little thread. Will be checking out some of that stuff.
Interesting to see Macabre on the list. I've always found them to be very hit or miss. I think Murder Metal wasn't as interesting as their Dahmer album which was pure fucked up musically (Jeffery Dahmer and the Chocolate Factory anyone?) and lyrically.
Thanks.
To be honest I didn't listen to the Dahmer album. But if you say it's weirder, I'm definitely gonna check it.

Love that movie and its soundtrack. Everytime I watch it feels like I'm watching it for the first time, for some reason. And that's a good thing of course.

Easily one of the prettiest films ever made too, and one of the strangest.

While I'm not a total anime fan, I had a period a few years ago when I watched a lot of them. My absolute favourites are from Ghibli and then Castle in the Sky and Princess Mononoke in particular. As for the "prettiest", I'd without a doubt choose The Place Promised in Our Early Days. Love that movie (one of the few "romantic" movies I like a lot). Have seen the director's other movies too, but they somehow don't do it for me.
Also a huge fan of Studio Ghibli, but I did not like Princess Mononoke at all. Way too bloody and gory to feel like a Ghibli film, and the English dub wasn't particularly impressive either. Castle In The Sky was real good, though. My favorites by Miyazaki are easily Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service and Ponyo.
That being said, I think it's a work by manga artist Shintaro Kago.
This was a favorite of mine for a long time. When it came out I knew the guys and played some gigs with them with my own band.
We went to see Agathocles all over the country. Fun guaranteed and a lot of unforgetable stories.
Hence my avatar.

but spoil thius film is like spoil porn and say porn ends whit cum shot ...
Dude your lists are awesome. So much good stuff on this one, my mind can't handle the outflow of such congregated awesomeness. Definitely gona be checking out the stuff I haven't heard yet. Also, you should try Jig-Ai if you haven't already. Pretty fun Porngrind.
My experience shows that there are no unusual grindcore releases. Great list, though. There are stuff here I've never heard before.
