Entombed A.D. - Present First Song From New Album

Entombed A.D., the Lars-Göran "L-G" Petrov fronted version of Entombed has a new track to share. As previously announced, L-G Petrov, Nico Elgstrand, Victor Brandt and Olle Dahlstedt will continue under the name Entombed A.D. to release the album Back To The Front. Now they present the first track off the album, the first single "Bedlam Attack" and you can enjoy it here right now!

You can also get the song as a free MP3 at this location.

German fans can use this link for the video.

Vocalist L-G Petrov comments the song as follows: "It was the first song we recorded for the album, fitting that it's the first one out! We had a hard time getting it right due to its somewhat unorthodox arrangement. Took its bloody time before everybody started to really like it, now we do though, and very much so, thank Satan! It's about losing one's mind in a mental hospital. Obviously you've lost it already since you're locked in. This is about when you really lose it and realize that you have to get out before things go completely tits up inside your head. All the while knowing deep inside that you will never get out."

Heavy. But what's with the latest album cover trend of floating balls of shit hovering in the air over land. I've seen this same exact album cover at least 3 times already in the past 2 months. I believe the most recent have been Conquering Dystopia, Origin and now Entombed.

Sounds like a regression to old school swedish death metal mixed with punk... Not really bad but neither anything new, it's not surprising and ends up being a little monotonous.

Twelve voices were shouting in anger, and they were all alike. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

This is definitely not a recent trend. It's one of the most simple (and sometimes effective) designs for album covers. Look at some classic metal covers like Ride the Lightning and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son - the execution is the same (big hovering "object" in the center) even if the content is different. And of course there are covers outside of metal (not to mention that predate the genre's existence) that follow that law. Forever Changes by Love comes to mind. Before that is was mostly just pictures of musicians on album covers looking like idiots.
